Malibu Pro2 Tandem
Recieved this Kayak last week and we used it this past week-end;Some Issues;The method of sealing the hatchs is not very effective, a screw style hatch cover is far superior to the latch style covers installed on this boat.The boat sits very low in the water, the out back notch for a motor is actually a funnel for water for a larger person sitting out back, this would appear to be a definant design booboo. Living in New England and kayaking in the spring or fall with the drain holes plugged won't be pleasent unless one is wearing water proof clothing and even still one will have a puddle of water in the boat.I think for the moola I would have expected a better design and for sure a better sea keeping hull, I have contacted Malibu about my concerns and no responce yet. I think for the money the Emotion Co-Motion of which we have one may be a better value and has a better water tight hull.The plus's for the Malibu, their seats and oars are very effective but they are a option and must be purchased in addition to the kayak, our Emotion came with some crappy seats installed by the dealer and after using the Malibu with nice seats we will be changing then in short order.I'm not sure if 3 stars is not more than deserved and perhaps 2.5 woul be a better option, we'll see what Malibu has to say.

Nice Tandem Kayak
I was so surprised to get such a great deal on a kayak through Amazon! The kayak fills a need in my family. We needed a tandem kayak to add to our fleet. I have always been impressed with Malibu Kayaks so I ordered this tandem. As far as tandems go... this one is NICE! It is stable and paddles well. Normally I wouldn't want a tandem, but when I take the whole family out we need to put a couple of our kids on with an adult. This kayak works well even if it's just the adult paddling. I have only had this on a lake so far. I'm not sure I'd take it on a river with much flow because it is long and doesn't turn sharply.

Malibu Kayak
Very nice kayak. Glides through the water nicely, and it is very stable with two people. Make sure to purchase the crack of dawn apex 1 seats to go along with this awesome boat.

Not too bad
the only real complaint I have is that the carrying handles on either side of the boat make it difficult for one person to carry. This can be easily remedied though. I am a beginner when it comes to kayaking, but I was able to keep pretty steady in the water. I wobbled a bit, but at no time was I afraid of tipping over.

Crappy boat
Defective boat. Seating and console storage off center. Would not recommend buying from Amazon, must have been a second quality sold at a discounted price.
