A good start to the Mermaid life!
We took her tail out for her first time out in shallow water. My DD13 really enjoyed herself but did say it wasn't as easy as she was hoping. It does take a whole other way to swim. From my perspective (in the water "catching" her) she got it better under the water than on top/near the surface. She was too tired the 2nd day to swim in it again. But I think in time she will do very well and truly enjoy being a mermaid.Drying time was a bit longer than I expected (we used a hand dryer at the venue) and let it drip dry the rest of the way back at our hotel. Not a huge issue in climates where it doesn't stay below freezing, unlike ours.
