La FlorentineSoft Nougat Torrone Bar with Pistachio, 5.3 Ounce

It's so delicious that it needs to be shared with the world. Ahem, only the review not the nougat bar, coz I ate 3/4th of it in one go. I have been eyeing this for long, but was unsure if it would be worth 8$, guess what, it is.Outer most wrapper is made of paper, that gave it an authentic luxury look and feel. The nougat bar was sealed in an airproof wrap. It was soft, a bit chewy with decent quantity of pistachios. It felt like it came to my place straight from the factory. Super fresh.Ok let me be honest, something so good at 8$ in such less quantity is fair enough to be given a try. But it's just too less for someone like me who is capable of finishing the entire bar in one shot. Phew ! I loved it.Edit : it was so good that I finished the entire bar within a few hours. Also it's not overly sweet, just prefect.

We first discovered this item in a shop in Atlantic City, NJ but only bought one, not knowing how good it is, which we only learned after returning home. Even though my wife and I did our best to ration the single bar we bought, it was done inside of a week and we were left with nothing but an empty wrapper and the memory of the most delicious, sumptuous candy with the perfectly sweetened soft nougat scattered with healthy dose of whole pistachios.Inside the outer paper wrapping, each bar is sealed in foil packaging to maintain the delicate softness of the nougat. These are best when you just open them, but are still plenty soft the next day, but I woudn't recommend leaving them exposed to the air for much longer as the nougat will stiffen.After devouring our only bar, we hunted for more at every local shop, Italian or otherwise, to no avail. That's when we found a supplier on Amazon who, after some trouble with shipping, mailed us a box of 6 of these babies almost 3 weeks later. These were well worth the wait and were exactly as we remembered our first bar.I couldn't recommend these bars more! Get them soon, but please leave enough for us!

It tasted pretty good. It was slightly melted when it got here, but it's the middle of summer so I don't blame them. It was soft and fresh when I got it, too. Only complaint is that it's a little too sweet for me, but it's rather subjective so I won't take it against them.

This came in a softie bag instead of a box, so it was a little squished but only a little, and since I'm knifing it up and it's in a super good quality package from the manufacturer, no big deal.The flavor is that lovely hash of marshmallow and meringue, light and chewy without being over sweet or super sticky and adhering to your teeth. There's an enormous amount of almonds, none over large or difficult to bit but larger pieces and not just chips and flakes and slices.It was a bit hard on some of the edges (relatively hard for a nougat of this type; not hard-hard) but it's pretty darn good as it is, not as overpowering in any factor as I expected it to be for the price.Will definitely buy it again.

Been searching for great nougat ever since Callard & Bowser stopped making theirs. This nougat is very impressive - best I have had! Price on Amazon is the best. We but the six pack and we slice up the bars as we need to eat. The nougat is wrapped tightly in foil so it stays fresh - though it doesn't last long in our house! The pistachio flavor is my favorite - unique but not overpowering with large pistachios in the nougat.

This is one of my most favorite 'candy bars'. I really like the La Florentine Torrone bars.They are not gooey and sticky like caramel. They are not overly sweet like some chocolates might be. Additionally, they are large enough that you can eat part of one and then save some for later. These are soft and yummy.

Oh my heavens, where has this been all my life? Light, soft, fresh, sweet without being overwhelming, lots of almonds. It would be even MORE perfect if the wrapping was somehow resealable so it stayed fresh - once you start prying at the corners of the packaging, nothing can be closed back over the little piece of fluffy cloud landed on your table.I can't wait to offer pieces of this with coffee and liqueurs at Thanksgiving. Now I see why there is a subscription service for it!

This was amazing. You would get a chock full of pistachios and the nougat was soft, almost fresh-tasting. However, when I received this recently, it was no longer just pistachios, but almond AND pistachio -- and far more almonds than pistachios. This is misleading. They have changed the ingredients, even though the packaging looks almost identical (it now says almond and pistachio), and the price is the same. I am very disappointed and I wish I would have bought more when it was still all-pistachio. Don't get me wrong, this is still delicious, but I miss the all-pistachio torrone bar that I used to gift to fellow pistachio lovers. Now I'll have to shop around and look for a different one, and I wish Amazon would have updated the information because I would have thought twice before ordering it recently.
