Although the TV is only 70 pounds this mount may seem like overkill. It is for a good reason
The TV: 57" wide X 34" tall. 70 Pounds. 600 X 400 VESAThe last thing I wanted to do is watch the TV and wonder if it will fall off of the wall. Although the TV is only 70 pounds this mount may seem like overkill. It is for a good reason. I'm paranoid about the TV coming off of the wall. I looked at the mounts which had 150 load limits which apparently would have sufficed. The problem with these smaller mounts is that they are only about 29"-30" wide. If you have studs 16" on center then you would have to move the mount off center (assuming a stud is dead center in the wall. Mine is) a few inches to hit 2 studs. Studs are mandatory. Not a major problem to offset the mount a few inches but I had a problem with only 1 bolt in each stud holding the mount. Plus these mounts tend to be thinner metal and only a couple inches tall. The smaller mount would probably work well enough but, as stated, I am paranoid. I want to KNOW the TV is going nowhere. Only 3 things could put my paranoia at ease: First, I need a 3 stud mounting. Second, I need 2 lag bolts in each stud. Third, I need a thick, heavy gauge metal mount. The Kanto Mount was perfect to put the demons to rest.Very easy to understand instructions.Straight Line on the holding rail. Easy leveling.Thick Gauge MetalMinor level adjustment screws. If needed. Mine was only off by a hair. Literally that close to level.Bottom of mount latches with spring loaded clip. Pull strings are a nice plus.Attractive end caps.Although this mount is huge it does not look out of place from a side view.I would not recommend this mount for a TV much narrower than the 57" wide TV I have. Then it might be noticeable. With my existing setup the mount is about 7" from the edge of the TV on each side. That is about the closest you would want it. In my humble opinion. Otherwise this a an absolute beast of a mount. I sleep well knowing my TV will never fall.

Excellent mount for off-center studs or centering TVs on large walls
This is the perfect mount if you have a large TV and studs that are not centered on your wall (or with the TV you're mounting)... We had some CRAZY stud placement - as well as some vents, electrical wires and tubes, etc. behind our TV wall and this was the only mount that allowed us to attach it to more than one stud - and still center the TV. SUPER appreciative that they make this wide version, and happy that it's excellent quality, very easy to mount AND use.The "bonus" pull-strings make it super simple to take off the wall to access the back of the TV (to change wiring, etc.), and the little "guides" on the top are GREAT for keeping cords organize and out of the way when mounting and adjusting the TV during install. HIGHLY recommend this mount!

This is an outstanding mount. It's very thick and ...
This is an outstanding mount. It's very thick and one continuous piece of metal which makes it very strong. Most of the cheaper amount I looked at were several pieces of metal that clipped together and I didn't trust them. Also this mount is slightly narrower than it is advertised at, because you don't need to use the plastic end caps if you don't want to. Leaving them off Will save you probably 3 inches overall. I used this mount on a 55 inch TV – no problem even with the plastic and caps, it doesn't show. I also selected this amount because it is one of few that has mounting holes all the way across – including in the center. My location is centered on a stud and I needed a bracket wide enough to reach the studs on the left and right. This is the only one I could find that I thought would work. And it worked incredibly well

Defective TV brackets
This was my tenth mount that I installed. Unfortunately, the last three that I received had a design flaw with the mounting brackets that attached to the TV. The lower catch on the bracket was too low to attach and lock behind the bottom rail of the wall bracket. i thought the spring was hung up and would not let the spring latch come up to lock behind the rail, but after looking at it further, that was not the case. I had to install tight safety wires on the mount so the TV would not lift up off the upper rail. Mounting the 80" TV with this mount leaves the TV vulnerable to lifting off the upper rail if someone tries to adjust the tilt of the TV. The previous mounts that I have purchased worked great, but these last three are defective. Kanto is much better than this. i hope they are willing to replace these TV brackets.

Great mount
Very happy with this mount. My home was built with uneven stud spacing over my fireplace which made finding a mount a nightmare. My previous mount had to be rigged up with two pieces of slotted angle iron to reach enough studs. I have a stud in the center then one 17" one way and 19" the other... This mount worked GREAT and I didn't have to modify it at all. Very sturdy and the bottom latches are a nice feature. You just hook the top in the click in the bottom. I used it for a 55" tv and the mount itself is still fairly hidden. The only thing visible is the end caps which give the mount a nice finished look. There's NO built in level though so keep that in mind during install. It's easy enough to just get the center bolt in and use it as a pivot. Also, the big holes in the center are JUST small enough that you can't put it over covered outlets. Probably overlooked that during design. You have to take the cover plates off for them to fit inside the large hole.

45 inch wide mounting bracket
I purchased this mount for the width of the mounting bracket. At 45 inches wide, it easily spans 3 stud cavities and therefore allows for a very confident and secure attachment to the wall. However, my only complaint is, with the width of my 82 inch TV, it is not possible to adjust the tilt of the tv while it is on the wall. The TV must be removed to make the fine adjustment to the final position. Not a big deal...just something you will need an extra set of hands for...but you will need those with any large screen tv you are about to install.

Extra Wide Mount
We had a 75 inch television that had to be installed on 24 inch offset studs. We tried three brackets and all were not wide enough to allow correct positioning of the television. This mount was wide enough to drill directly into the studs and achieve proper placement of the television. It is very sturdy and came with everything needed for a proper mount.

Poor design and poor quality.
Pretty poorly built and designed for a Kanto Mount. Every Kanto Mount I have purchased in the past has been solid but this one looks like they decided to skimp on quality. The bottom locking mechanism kept jamming and wouldn't snap in place. The strings to pull the mechanism are attached using a small ring which is of terrible quality. One let go as I was pulling the string. The wall mount is painted and not powder coated so the paint has already peeled off when we slid the tv to position it in the center. You need to figure out the down angle you like before you hang the tv because you have to use small screws to lock the angle which are impossible to reach once the tv is in place.

Not sure if it's worth the premium over some other brands.
Mostly good, except the washers that were supposed to go with the bolts going into the TV were too small. I had to use the wall washers there instead, and then buy more washers at a local hardware store.Everything else was reasonable, though it really doesn't leave much room behind the tv for cables if you tilt your tv down. The mounting brackets that attach to the tv also don't click soundly into the wall plate. It felt like the screws at the top of the brackets were essential to making sure that it didn't come off the wall.

Heavy-duty and good value.
One of our final projects for our basement renovation was to install the TV above the fireplace. This heavy-duty TV mount was easy to install and holds our very heavy 60-inch Plasma TV. Great product for the price. Highly recommend.

Great mount for a great price.
Great bang for your buck. I can't imagine why anyone would spend more than this on a mount. We purchased this for our business and hung two 85 inch TVs in our boardroom with these mounts. They are easy to put together and drop dead simple to install.

great product for the price point
This thing is small and light but bolts to three studs, come with all of the hardware including a variaty of screws for the TV mount. I'm 230lbs and hung off it. My 80" is 175lbs and it handled it, no problem! great product for the price point!
