Exactly what I was looking for
I lost a battle with mosquitoes while hiking and found out a lighter color made of nylon would help. Size 34 fit my 33 waist. Just slightly long. Seems like it is well made with double sticth in place or hidden seams. Pricing was good.

VERY light weight
I got these for my wife as work pants/shorts and she likes them a lot as her work place is very warm. The only issue she really had was that the pant length are pretty much standard and the size rating is based on waist only as she is not very tall, so they drag and wear out at the heals quickly, but not enough of a concern to effect the rating.

Almost a good replacement
I bought these in hopes of replacing my two pairs of Eddie Baurer convertible travel pants I used while working overseas which I liked because it made going through airports easy (had an integrated belt), could be converted to shorts quickly, and had plenty of pockets. But these were missing a few features I liked.Pockets: The front pockets were not slit pockets. The cargo pockets were Velcro instead of zip up (although one side had a pocket-behind-a-pocket which had a zipper and the rear pocket had a zipper)There were no zippers on the pant leg bottoms to make the conversion that much easier. More often than not I had to remove my shoes to convert from pants to shorts or vice versa. The belt was one-size-fits-all and was very long. It has a sliding clip to keep the excess length but more often than not I had to stuff it in my pocket. And more often than not it fell out and just got in the way and looked horrible. Besides, the belt didn't stay tight when cinched. What prevented me from ranking this above a 3 star was the fit, ultimately. I wore it first on a fall or winter with some long johns underneath. It just felt funny, like the long underwear was somehow holding up the fabric of the pants when I bent my knees or even walked. Later, on a warmed day I wore just the pants and it had the same feeling for the most part. They were, again, uncomfortable but I couldn't pinpoint why. It took me a while but I realized it was the crotch. It was too low or something and impeded my thighs when I moved, as I said, either bending at the knee or even walking. It felt like the pants as a whole were sagging when it reality they were in place but the legs did not have freedom of movement.Regardless of the exact cause, but I found them only wearable for short periods of time because that sensation of always feel like your pants are too tight or falling down was distracting enough that I didn't want to wear them ever. As the window to return closed, I now only wear them if I'm going out for a short time or maybe if I'm doing something around the yard.

A little disappointed
I purchased two sets of these pants because I liked them. I noticed that the belt kept on losing its grip. So I contacted the seller to perhaps send me another belt. I thought maybe it was defective perhaps. Seller replied that the belt was a free gift and they would eventually stop selling the pants with the belt. Not quite the response I had in mind from a seller by not standing behind their product. So if you buy the pants remember belt "It is free!"

Basic nylon convertible cargo pants
Decent material; durable. HOWEVER, low quality sewing, single stitch seams, no gusseted crotch, and generally a generic fit. Only paid $25, so I got my moneys worth, I guess…

Heavy fabric
These pants are not so great for the summer in the southern US as the fabric is too heavy. The blue fabric looks a bit like military duty pants. However, they appear to be durable, and good for cooler weather.

The legs were baggier than in the pictures
They are a light material and will be great for hiking. I bought a size 34 for my 18 year old son, and they are just a bit too big throughout the legs and waist. The picture made it seem like they were more fitted- but they are baggy. He is normally a 32 waist, but his legs are larger. He is 5'10" 165 lbs

Good pants, breathable material, but the zippers seem a bit stiff on the pockets
My Expectation:I expect a well made pair of pants that I can wear for years to come with my Boy Scouts uniform. The Good:1. The material is soft and smooth2. There are plenty of deep pockets3. The zippered pockets are nice for making sure things don’t fall out.4. I always love zip off pants.5. The fit is perfect for me (I wear 40x32) so i bought size 40.The Bad:1. The zippers on the pockets (Specifically) are a bit stiff and it takes 2 hands to move them, they keep getting stuck on something. This seems to be worse on the left hand zip pocket on the leg than on the back pocket. The legs zip off more easily from what I have found.2. There is no label on the zippers for the legs to help the user know which leg is which. This means it will take a bit longer to get the legs back on because the user has to first figure out which leg is which. You could always label the pull tag with a sharpie (which I think I will be doing).Overall:Seem to be decent pants at a good price, they do not seem to be the same quality as Columbia pants (but they are not the price of Columbia pants either!). Honestly, for roughly $30, I am happy and I got my money’s worth. They have plenty of big pockets, perfect for the modern boy scouts (with the 10 essentials and everything).Would I recommend it?I would recommend these as an inexpensive alternative to Columbia or REI pants. They are NOT the same quality but they seem to be good quality.

These pants couldnt be worse
I thought these were regular cargo pants. THey're hideous, noisy windbreaker pants. I can't wear these things. Maybe they should specify that. I've bought "hiking pants" before and they're usually y'know, cloth. This garbage whatever it is is not fit for basic day to day wear.
