This is my favourite and most used set of drills, I use them everyday as a handyma and buy them for all my handymen, they are quality, light weight and compact. And great price too and I love t he systainer box.

In love with this set. Using both tools more or less, enjoying quality and functionality. Tools are lightweight, battery life indicators are good to have; the torches are bright. Power is enough for any average household like ours. The storage case is very good, easy to keep and find the tools. It could be cheaper, but I was ready to buy it as it is, good value for money.

Amazing drill for the money paid, Makita quality speaking for it self, easy to use but if anyone looking to do big projects get brushless. Comes with warranty which is great. Did quite a-bit with it, battery doesn’t last so long though. Impact driver great as separate. Will last as makita drill, use is easy and the functions self explanatory

For the capacity of the battery and subsequent size, this unit is powerful,handy and compact, although it's too soon to gauge the longevity, I can say through two decades of experience, that the unit is giving the impression on longevity, The unit is invaluable for times where load of equipment eg when your up a ladder and fatigue of holding it at arms length and such, in addition if space is an issue, this unit is very useful, The box is for their stack system and NOT the traditional standalone unit, it has an external moulded equipment holder, so it can be removed, unlike the normal ones expected and legacy unit where it is part of the storage, till now I have kept it, as it stops the rattling and scuffing of the equipment, although I am not sure the moulded unit shall last very long as the gauge of the moulded is not very robust, that being said, it's not a deal breaker due to the very competitive cost, In fact the price is very reasonable, just abit more than the lower / mid range brands, Drill used in iron work, no problem, not arm twisting power, that you get from the 18v units when snagged, so a positive, The impact driver is very powerful for the capacity and size of unit, removing 3 inch rusty and glued through, old and weathered, better than my supermarket purchased unit at a higher voltage, Conclusion, was expecting good, but it's above and beyond,

I was a bit scared of buying this at first as got drill sets before that either don't have the power or just break easily after a couple of uses but I built my front garden fence and didn't need to wait ages for the battery to charge or then die quickly. Was easy to use not to heavy in my hand or to big to hold like some the accessories box I also ordered is a must have. Will definitely be ordering more tools from here they have given me the confidence to use and get other power tools I would have only dreamed of using

These are only 12v, so you're not going to get the power of 18v units, indeed the drill only has a 10mm chuck, but after six months DIY use, they've handled everything I've needed them to - lots of masonry drilling, 10mm holes into concrete and driving 90mm screws into softwood. Both the drill and driver have handy belt hooks, so they can be kept in easy reach. Perfectly adequate for DIY use. The only reason they don't get five stars is that they only come with two batteries and the Makita ones are crazy expensive - I bought 3rd-party batteries, but they wouldn't charge, so I had to cough up for the genuine ones
