Levy's Leathers Guitar Strap (M8HT-20)

Cool looking and well made, but issue with leather ends
Colorful jacquard pattern is pure early 70's. Strap is well made with quality materials. Thick, durable and comfortable. Strap length is easily and quickly adjustable. I've had jacquard woven straps in the past and all have served me well... 50 years in one case. However, one problem with this one. The leather ends consist of a thin foam cushion sandwiched between two flaps of leather. If you ever need to wrestle one of the ends onto a strap button... the "sandwich" around the button hole splits open, thereby forcing you to maneuver three separate layers onto the button. Also, because the leather ends are padded, and therefore bulky, it's often not possible to secure the strap end on the button with a rubber strap lock. This is especially true when dealing with the rear jack button of an electric guitar.

Solid construction and eye popping colors all for a good price.
I bought this guitar strap for a knock off red Gibson flying v that I bought from eBay a while back. It definitely took me a while to decide which guitar strap to hook it up with so while I was scrolling casually on Amazon for guitar straps, BAM, this Levy's Leathers Weave Hootenanny came up. It caught more than just my eye. It caught my full attention big time. What really attracted me to this particular guitar strap was the ornate Oriental-esque, psychedelic floral design along with the red, black, and white color scheme that just really compliment the floral pattern. And again, like I usually say in some of my other reviews, the picture does it no justice whatsoever. When I received it in the mail, I was genuinely looking at a piece of art.The material is very soft to the touch and while playing my guitar standing up, the strap itself doesn't slide across my shoulder like other guitar straps. It stands in place nicely and is relatively comfortable too. The end pieces of the guitar straps...I don't know what they are called but they are the large black pieces with the Levy's L logo stamped on them, they are of high quality. The reason why I mentioned this is because I use metal washers to hold my guitar strap in place instead of using the traditional guitar peg to clip the strap on manually or strap locks (they can be pricey) but I play my guitar standing up alot so the weight of the guitar and the washers hold the strap in place truly depends on the integrity of those end pieces of the guitar strap. The price itself is not too bad. I've seen some really bad guitar straps (more so in design and material) that had enormous price tags....and I've seen some ridiculously bad guitar straps (again, more so in design and material used) where the prices truly reflect the item. In other words, CHEAP!!!..And then I've seen some really beautiful guitar straps where I wouldn't even dare dish out the money that they ask for....But this strap, for the price, the material and construction that went into it, you can't beat it.For just under 20$ you are not just getting a "guitar strap" oh no but you are merely adding an extension to your guitar. You are adding to it personality, a life of its own. If floral patterns are not your thing then look else where. If they are, consider this strap and consider adding it to your guitar collection. You won't regret it.

Looks fantastic and feels sturdy - What more could I ask for?
Construction: Nice, sturdy strap. Took some elbow grease to get on the buttons, am using without strap locks for now. Stitching is well done and everything seems well constructed.Color: The accent color is more of a gold than yellow (see picture), which works better for me.... it's described as yellow though, so be aware if you're wanting a true yellow. Looks fantastic with the Squier Tele.Length: Length works well for me, but it's about 8" shorter a couple other straps I have, so take that in consideration. In the description the length is noted as being 54" and it also says they carry an extra-long version if you're looking for more length.

Like every other I've ever owned
It's a strap. Like every other I've ever owned, it does the job. It just looks better while doing it. Some other reviewers complained about the leather on the ends being too thick. And yeah, it can be difficult to get the strap attached. But slots in the leather loosen considerably with use. I wouldn't advise cutting the slots longer for this reason. Because of the thickness of the leather, I don't know if it will be compatible with the rubber washers folks use as strap locks.

What You Wear Reflects On You.
What an awesome looking strap! I bought this specifically for my Fender Classic Series 60s Stratocaster. The leather ends are already supple enough to be able to install on the guitar's strap buttons relatively easy. The strap itself doesn't have any rough edges, so it doesn't dig in to your neck while you have your guitar on. The length seems alright; I found it simple to adjust to the length perfect for me. The design is eye-catching without it being loud and obnoxious. I honestly think it'll complement any guitar, specially those with a vintage vibe. Make yourself and your guitar look cooler with this strap. After all, what you wear says a lot about you.

Nice, Sturdy Tapestry/Embroidered Strap - with very hole cut.
I actually ordered this strap for my harp. I have a portable harp, and it has the same type of pins (I don't think you call them pins) as the guitar. It's a nice subtle color strap, with a nice embroidered/tapestry look. I chose the tan color one, because it matched my cherry wood harp. The holes were tight at first to get onto my harp, but I got them on, and I was able to stand and play. Now, I also have a folk guitar, and it took two of us to put the strap on the guitar. It was soooooooo tight. I mean I can't really complain about this because you definitely don't want your guitar to fall out of the strap. But darn it all, it was sooooo tight. It didn't fully go on, but it held the guitar. The strap was best for my harp. In any case, if you order this one, it be alright for you, and it may be that I just got a strap that had less cut hole. But over all it's a sturdy, nice looking strap. The price is worth it.

Satisfied with this strap
Beautiful strap. It does what it is suppose to do! (not much to say about a strap). Confortable.
