GOOD FIT ,GOOD QUALITY, FAIR PRICE ! IT DOUSE NOT SAY IN THE AD THAT IT FITS THE 2007 CHEVY SILVERADO 2500 HD CLASSIC WITH 6.0 ENGINE AND 4L80E TRANSMISSION BUT IT DOUSE EXACT ! I JUST WENT BY THE FACT THAT IT SAID 4L80E TRANSMISSION TO 2003 , HAPPY WITH IT. THEY SHOULD BE MORE SPECIFIC IN THE AD , THEY WOULD SELL MORE ! 2007 IS A MESSED UP YEAR FOR SILVERADO 2500 HD BECAUSE THEY MADE THE NEW STYLE, JUT CAME OU IN 2007 , AND STILL MADE SOME SILVERADO CLASSICS THAT STARTED MANUFACTURING IN 2000

Just go for the filter, get another gasket.
The filter fits fine, filter element is like OEM foam, housing is plastic and metal. It does come with a new metal fitting to hold the filter in place. I kept the old one, still being flexible and soft.The included gasket is a thin, very flexible piece of black rubber. I opted for the sturdy, reusable version instead. Luckily, I found out that the one pre-installed on the vehicle was already the same type. So I could use the old one and returned my new one to Amazon. Thanks for the great and easy return process!

Good gasket, NOT CORK JUNK
If youre like me whatever bad stuff can happen will. I had a cork gasket come apart inside the transmission one time. Never leaked a drop but filled the filter up with cork material and cooked the transmission. Never again. Get one of these. No rtv needed. No leaks. Just a good gasket and filter that does the job!

I wouldn't use the gasket.
Fortunately after I ordered this I was second guessing using the gasket after reading the reviews, and I was able to find a gm gasket on here that I only had to wait an extra day for. The gasket in this kit comes balled up in a small box with the filter. I used the filter only. If you're going to go through the trouble/ mess of dropping the pan, and spending good money on the transmission fluid do yourself a favor for peace of mind, and buy a gm gasket.

seems good
good fit for my 4L80E transmission on my 2003 GMC 1500HD. This is mainly a rock catcher of a filter but not the fault of this particular one. I have a spin on remote filer that gets much more then this ever will but nice to have replaced along with the fluid and a new pan thats rust free

Installed on a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 Auto
Install went smooth, gasket is flimsy. I used a little rtv on the gasket to the pan to keep it in place while putting it up. No leaks yet, over 1k miles.
