I bought this because I was going to go "old school" and get replacement filaments (I think they're called) for a Coleman propane lantern. Like I did when I was a kid. Then I saw the price and decided "No, they're too fragile to spend this much." I came across this, and thought "Ah, $10 a piece should be good." turns out I was buying 4! But it didn't take long for those other ones to get plucked up by others that appreciate their light weight, brightness, and ease in hanging.This are perfect, inside a tent they will illuminate the whole 3 person tent like it's afternoon. I'm liking this especially because my children can have fully illuminated tents while outdoors and I don't have to worry about any fire risk. Nor do I worry about fire risk during wild fire season in Oregon (we're safe, but reducing risk is always good) when leaving it on the table. If the kids forget to turn it off, well then we lose batteries but nothing more unsafe than that.It is BRIGHT. Honestly it's like catching a glimpse of the sun. They also include batteries which is advertised but I hadn't noticed making this an incredible value. So now I keep them for camping, I have backups for when the power goes out, and everyone loves them. I would (and have) recommended this to everyone I know.

I recently purchased 2 sets of these lanterns, based on reviews and price. Previously, I had paid as much for one lantern at my local big box store, but was unimpressed with that purchase. I needed something that provided enough light to see by, and didn't want to spend a small fortune.We get a lot of power outages in this neck of the woods, with seasonal storms; the majority of those outages lasts only a few hours, but there are those exceptions when an ice storm or tornado activity runs through and we are out for days.These came quick enough, were expertly packaged and I was also very impressed that batteries were included to power each lantern (when have you ever bought something at your local big box store and the batteries were included?!)I like that I didn't have to fumble with a tiny screwdriver to remove a miniscule screw; simply unscrew the lid to the battery compartment, add batteries, and screw it back on! Takes all of a few seconds before you're ready to go!As luck would have it, the day after receiving the second set, we had a power outage with nasty storms that moved through. We live in a rural area with zero street lighting; you can't see so much as your hand in front of your face, much less anything else. I simply popped open a few of these and we were able to see everything clearly and without strain, bumping into walls, or each other.The description says these provide 500 lumens. I don't know how to test that (scientist/engineer....not!), but I do know that they are a great price, are easy peasy to assemble, work great, and make for a welcome addition to our emergency preparedness/camping/boating gear!I'll be buying more of these to give as gifts and maybe to add another set or two to my home & auto. Highly recommend!

These little babies are great!!! California's PG&E power utility prefers to shut off our power rather than provide any proactive maintenance to their equipment (even though we pay for it, and even though a 2012 state report reported they had caused a blast that killed 8 people in San Bruno because "the State of California issued a report stating that PG&E had illegally diverted over $100 million from a fund used for safety operations, and instead used it for executive compensation and bonuses." Wikipedia, under San Bruno Pipeline explosion). Sigh. So we're left to buy items like this during the fire season. These would be perfect for camping, for emergency kits for home and car (they push in to become fairly small) and even for things like walking the dogs in the dark (I'm fairly small, and can fit my hands thru the handles). While the product works, its a bit on the “cheap” side. Plan to use them still. And, if they break, well Im not out a bunch of money.However......the box the lanterns cane in(the factory box) was beat up, torn, looked like it had been on a shelf for quite some time and just beat. The batteries were literally just thrown into the box and bouncing all over. Im not big on fancy packaging as its a waste of time and money. But!!!There is something to be said for good/proper/appropriate packaging and this wasnt it. The shape of the box made me question if the lanterns were even going to work.....yes it was that bad. The brown box they shipped in was intact so it wasnt the post office.Over all, the lanterns were as they should. But I feel like I go lucky. 50/50 if I buy from again just cause ai dont want to risk getting a poorly handled product which may show up broke.

The media could not be loaded.  I ordered these due to the threat of controlled power outages in No. California and didnt know what to expect? Then I received them and was so pleasantly surprised! Although theyre small and i thought "wow they're small. What can these do?" THEY ARE AWESOME! They are a perfect size so storing isnt a pain and they ARE BRIGHT! Plus to turn power on, you simply pull-up on the handles which slides top cover up and wa-la!! A mini latern that is bright and lightweight. Oh and the one pic is the surprise decor in my grandkids room recently done.

When I received it, I was shocked that it was really tiny but don’t let the smallness fool you because it is bright. I’ve added a picture where it shows how bright it lights up my living room. I’ve tested all them out and they all work great. Bonus it came with 12 AA Batteries but I will be purchasing a better set of batteries. Not sure how I feel about the “military grade materials” that they stated because it seems like it’s made of some type of hard plastic. It’s an easy “pull up” to turn on and “push down” to shut off. You can minimize the lantern for lesser output of light but it’s still bright. for the price 4 for $19.99 is a deal and very compact size. We will be using it for camping next weekend so I’ll update more info to see how it holds up.

El material es plástico, se ven endebles, incluían baterías lo cual es un plus.Una de las 4 no encendía, la desarme para ver cual era el problema, y uno de los cables (los cuales son muy delgados) se rompió, posiblemente durante el traslado, solo lo soldé de nuevo con cautin y funciono.Sobre el desempeño, funcionan bien, cada una ilumina como un foco de 25watts una habitacion de 3.5x3.5m. la bateria dura bastante, y es bueno que puedas usar baterias normales en caso de una contingencia. en general buena compra por el precio, pero si quieres algo mas para camping o con mayor resistencia (estructura de metal, bateria recargable etc) entonces mejor sigue buscando otras opciones.

Item received in a plastic mailing bag, not in a delivery box and therefore the item box is busted. Luckily the lanterns are not broken. 4 lanterns have been received but only 2 of them are working but loosely as if the lantern was tilted at an angle, the light will goes off. The other 2 lanterns are not working at all, even with new batteries. It is very disappointing as not sure if it is because the delivery in a plastic delivery bag or due to the defective materials within the lantern. Planning to use during the camp but now will have to return and get a refund.

Estuve buscando unas linterna para cuando hay emergencias como cortes de luz y la verdad sobrepasaron mis expectativas, tienen una luz muy buena, el material es resistente y el precio es excelente porque incluyen 4 linternas y las pilas para todas ellas. Las recomiendo mucho y seguiré comprando mas artículos de esta marca.

Very happy with these lanterns. They are very bright & the batteries last a long time. This is the 2nd set we bought (first time with this supplier) as we were so happy with the 1st set & now we have them at home & at the cottage! We can highly recommend them!

This is a great product. I have given them for gifts with rave reviews.
