I really wanted to ignore the bad reviews. So much so that after the first one of these literally "popped" and shut of my laptop instantly after just a few weeks and then wouldn't charge at all, I opted to send it back for a replacement instead of a refund. But guess what? Right out of the box, the replacement wouldn't take a charge, but my old original Dell battery it should have replaced would.I wasted so much time, don't waste yours.

Thought I would give it a try, even with mixed reviews. Bought it May 29, no longer eligible for Amazon return after July 4, battery no longer holds a charge as of August 8. Total crap! Please avoid for your own sake.

Battery would not charge. I saw the price and ignored the reviews

I can't believe this battery has gotten 5 star reviews. I have a Dell Precision M4700. When I first used the battery 4 days ago, the very first full charge indicated that I had 6 hours of batter time. I unplugged and proceeded to work. It worked well for 1.75 hours and said that I had 4 hours with 55% of battery life remaining. Then 1 minute later it said I had 2.5 hours left with 54% remaining. 30 minutes later, it dropped off a cliff and said I had 55 min remaining but only 6% of battery life left. So, I'm basically getting about 2 to 2.5 hours out of the battery. If it gets any worse, I will be returning this. It's certainly better than my old battery. I didn't expect top-notch performance for a knock-off battery but it's far worse than I expected from a brand new(?) battery. If you do decide to buy this battery, be forewarned that you get what you pay for.Update: I wrote this review on June 26, 2015. It is now August 17, 2015 and my "new" battery will no longer hold a charge. Don't waste your money on this product.

Working well so far after a couple months. No complaints. Will see how it holds up going forward.Update 12/17/2015 -Battery worked well until recently. I'm only deducting one star however, because the battery performed very well until Windows 10 decided to power up my laptop (out of sleep mode) in my laptop bag randomly a couple times - completely draining the battery & likely overheating things too. Li batteries hate being completely drained so I'm sure that has lead to the battery's early demise - although better quality cells would have probably been a good bit more resilient.
