Surprised... much tastier soups ....
I am surprised by how tasty the soups are when making them with this machine. I had another soup machine, it was cheaper and by a different brand... it lasted two years and the soups were good, but not amazing... so I really expected this one's soups to be similiar but with the added cleaning function. Well I was wrong. The soups I have made with this have tasted much better.... each one has been yummy... very tasty. I am very impressed. I like the cleaning function too. So far it has been worth the extra cost. Like my other machine, one needs to check that the machine can stir and chop the veg... these things tend to burn if you over load them. I also grease the base before adding ingredients. Very surprised that the soups taste much better than my last one. To make a chunky soup it is good to use the chunky function and then use a slotted spoon to remove some veg once cooked, liquidize the soup in the machine and add those chunky veg back for a nice consistency. Smooth soups are quick but don't taste bland or over boiled. Lovely. Perhaps it uses a bit of pressure to cook soups whilst enhancing the flavour.... My last one just boiled them.

Very good for the money
Very Simple to use, not too noisy but startled me / took me by surprise the first time I used it….. saying that after a few minutes it’s gets quiet and is only noisy when blending…. Not too impressed with the self clean function- does work but I found I prefer to clean myself afterwards just to be sure I get it fully clean. The only thing I don’t like/ find irritating is it beeps for 30 seconds once finished- it is useful, however, and I use that time as prep time to lay out bowls etc… but I wish you could turn it off by pressing a button- not found that ability, if it exists, yet. On the whole very very good.

Best bit of kitchen kit I’ve got!!
When my friend first told me about this, I didn’t really believe that it was worth the money and rolled my eyes. After all, why pay money for something that does the same thing as just boiling veg in a pot and then blending it? After many photos from my friend I eventually thought since it’s a really decent price I’d give it a go and ordered one, still not believing it was worth the money (and also because I needed a bit of the excitement that comes with new kitchen gadget since I’m living alone during lockdown!).The first use of this blew my mind. Literally just wash the veg and throw it all in with a bit of stock and 19 minutes later you’ve got super smooth soup (no lumps AT ALL!).The time saved that would have been spent standing over the cooker watching multiple pots of veg is definitely worth it! The time saved that you would have spent cleaning those pots is a bonus as well!I saw a few reviews that said it’s very difficult to clean or that food was sticking. Those people must have been leaving the remains in the appliance for about a month for it to be difficult to clean. It’s so easy to clean it’s crazy and even has a self-wash function. The only downside is that it can be very noisy when it’s blending but that only lasts for 15/20 second bursts towards the end of the 19 minutes so isn’t a big deal at all. Just make sure you aren’t working from home while using it or you’ll get a shock while on a phone call!Highly highly recommend!!

Can burn
The soup maker is good and makes nice soup in 19 mins, but when loading don’t start with ‘wet’ food like tinned tomatoes or baked beans in the bottom as these burn onto the hot plate. Start with fresh veg like potatoes and carrots and then build up with other ingredients leaving the wet food til last. It is a bit of a pain to get the blade in so I try to build up the ingredients around the edge and leave a gap in the middle for the blade to go in. The top part is quite heavy. I don’t use the auto lean function as it makes a lot of suds so I just wash it under the tap with a cloth.

Excellent simple soup maker
Brilliantly simple to use, makes nice amount of soup.Blending function is a little noisy but nothing major.Self clean function doesn't really save any time, as it would only take a few minutes to wash normally.Only downside is the weight, but again nothing major.Would highly recommend.

Really pleased with this
Easy to use. Makes great soup in no time for people who lead busy lives but want to have something healthy to eat. It made me 5 large helpings of soup. I would definitely recommend... The only fault is that even when cleaned with clean mode you still have to give it a wipe down inside. Ensure you leave it open to dry so that it doesn't smell next time you use it.

No Recipe Book
The soup chef works fine, but I was disappointed that it doesn’t come with a recipe book.It would of if I bought it on the tv ad, but on Amazon it’s only a online recipe book.
