UT210E Clamp Meter, Digital Clamp Meter VFC NCV AC/DC Voltage AC Current LCD Display Auto Range Multimeter w/ Capacitance Resistance Measure Diode Tester

This is one of the newer clamp meters, obtainable at a very reasonable price. It is a compact way of combining a highly portable multi meter with a clamp meter. Although boxed for the Chinese market, and supplied with instructions in Chinese, it is possible to download an English manual via the Internet. It is capable of DC amps measurement in addition to the usual AC amps, thanks to a hall effect sensor in the jaws. The meter is supplied with test leads allowing it to measure voltage, resistance and capacitance, in addition to the clamp meter current ranges. If this were not enough, it also features an NCV (non-contact voltage) range. This gives an indication when near a live wire. At a distance of a few inches, bleeping starts, and the display changes from "EF" (electric field) to dashes. The closer the wire, the more rapid the bleeps and the more dashes are shown. So it is also a valuable safety instrument.I'd describe this clamp meter as highly versatile, useful and rugged. It is the equal of many, much more expensive clamp meters, and would be a valuable addition to any electrican's- or electronic hobbyist's toolbox.

Almost as accurate as the AMECal ST-9810 for AC readings and from my testing the DC reading is within the tolerances.The non-contact voltage detector works well even through walls.I paid FULL PRICE for this meter, so it's not a free product or vine review, a genuine review.

I had 2 other multi meter and I bought this for the camp function: That is to measure the DC Amp from a car's alternator to determine whether the alternator is good or bad. As you can see from the picture, it works! (38 amp from the alternator with low beam + high beam + max fan while engine is running)

Purchased as my old one Digital Multimeter died after many many years of good use.I cannot fault it at all for what I use it for. It's mainly for testing capacitors, fuses, electrics in the car but over my old one this does both AC and DC current draw which comes in handy for testing if there is a drain on a car battery.

Excellent for the price and would be if even dearer. I wasn't expecting more than the basics at this price but I have been more than pleasantly surprised with them in everyday use. Recommended.
