good value, decent quality replacement part

I just replaced the original mandrel spindles from a 2004 Craftsman LT1000 lawn tractor with these spindles and pulleys. All the holes aligned, the hardware seems durable. I also replaced the belt and blades and did an overall tune-up on other deck parts. The mower sounds and runs almost new. I have no idea how long these will last, but they seem heavy duty and sturdy initially. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

I had a spindle that got out of shape on an old (but great) Craftsman 42" 917.271060 tractor. These replacements worked great. I didn't realize how loud my deck had become until it was quiet again. Like others have said, I recommend hand tightening the spindle bolts.

I replaced the one on the mower due to someone installing the blade incorrectly. The incorrect install ruined the star-shaped drive on the bottom of the spindle where the blade attaches. The bearing on the old part was still good and I would have reused if the star shape hadn't been mashed. Also I used an air impact to draw the bolts out (not realizing they were self tapped in there) I broke one and probably damaged the threads on the other two. Not sure, but if did it on a part I wanted to preserve, I would be very carful working them back and forth and easing them out.This new one arrived the next day prime. I unboxed it and fitted it to the mower deck. It came with the self tapping bolts. (Which I was worried about.) It also came with a new pulley which was a bonus as mine was looking a bit worn. The install was easy. I would not recommend using an impact gun to install the self tapping bolts, but rather a hand ratchet to "feel" the nice straight travel of the bolt into the hole. I would think it could be risky to just fire them in with an impact and possibly crack the housing. I gave it four stars because I don't know the longevity of the bearings. But I am confident they will last as the rest of the component seems well made, and fits perfectly.

This was the exact fit for my Lawn mower. Look and works as good or better than OEM. Got this part delverd in less than 48hrs.

My Craftsman's deck has been through a lot and was no longer cutting even. I replaced the blades, and it still wasn't right. My deck had clipped enough obstacles that the deck had gotten bent a little through the years. I had to remove the old spindles to straighten out the deck. Well, the original spindle bolts said NO WAY!!! and I snapped all three bolts off. I bought this spindle and after a little hammer work, I got the new blades to spin level without any wobble. That's when I found the other spindle had a bent shaft and also needed to be replaced. Now my mower is perfect and cuts like new. Nice and level without any gouging.

the parts worked great

This is the second one I had to order now cause I bought my other one last may 18 2022. So less then a year ago. And all I do is cut my grass twice a month and then clean it and park it in the winter in a garage. There cheap and don’t last. So if you want something to last this is not it. Mine blew apart today for no reason.
