Gold coins were real!
I won a storage which had some gold coins I side. I didn't want a pawn shop checking them as they then go into a big sales pitch, so I ordered this.Unfortunately, most were junk metal, but this kit slshowed me two 14K coins!So, if you need to test gold, I'd give this one a go. It helped me a lot.

Good thing to have around
Took a minute to arrive, packaging was a bit simple but no leakage so that’s good. I’ve tested a handful of gold rings I’ve purchased at jewelry stores as well as pre-owned ones. Also tested gold plated and accurately clocked it as fake. Thus far the reading has been accurate.
