Crumpets are magic...
Crispy, warm and delicious when toasted. Once you try these, english muffins will never appear in your pantry again. Unfortunately, the last shipment came without cashioning packing material so some crumpets are damaged.

Just Damn Delicious, Everybody!
It’s an English Mufflin who had dreams of being a king in America - AND DID!Where have these been my entire life? They came packaged like regular bread that goes moldy super fast and had a real expiration date on them like real bread. They are super fresh. We couldn’t believe it! I froze 90% of mine to ‘save’ them, BUT -I swear they get softer, raise up a little and have a very light ‘San Francisco real sour dough’ taste when you warm them. They are thinner than ‘American-type English Muffins’ so they are able to become ingredients in other dishes (I swear I mean no disrespect to their traditionally enjoyed deliciousness). I dropped mine into an upright slotted toaster on 2 - just to warm them. However . . . .Amazing Panini & Grilled CheeseLittle Kid’s Night Pizza CrustsGrilled Flatbread topped with (butternut squash, pumpkin and pomegranate seeds, garlic butter)Crumbs Made for Breading Fish American Farm-Raised Catfish is what we enjoyedSo, yes, we reallllly loved them! Crazy versatile and super handy pantry/freezer item you can ‘fancy up’ for a company emergency or just hide under the frozen broccoli from your husband & kids so your favorite tea can love them, too.An Accidental American serendipity snack and we can’t wait to buy a gift basket bundle!

These were awful! A Waste of Money
The crumpets arrived as indicated in four packs of eight. One pack contained severely damaged crumpets (mostly crumbs). I was able to salvage two or three of them but they smelled so bad I tossed the package. When I opened the second package there was also an unpleasant odor and two of the eight crumpets had black spots - maybe mold? I threw them away along with the remaining two packages. All four packages had an expiration date nearly a year from now 8/2024 but they looked bad and smelled rotten. Don't buy these. I chose not to return them to avoid the hassle of re-packaging them and finding a pick-up location. Money down the drain. Trader Joe's British Style Crumpets are awesome and reasonably priced - not to mention fresh.

No mold, taste great, holds butter very well
I live in California and when I got them there was zero mold like some say it had when they got theirs. That was one reason I was reluctant to purchase but, low and behold no mold. Got quite a few packs of it as well so, 3-4 reasons to say there won't be any mold.Texture is pretty good, like a somewhat gelatinous smoothed english muffin. Holds butter in there very well, no leakage. You could probably put about a quarter stick of butter in one of them. The taste is real good. I suggest blackberry jam for sure and maybe some irish butter (put the butter in first).Using a toaster I'd say the bottom keeps that soft texture pretty well unlike english muffins that harden. No crunch.I think these are high quality breakfast items and are great as a christmas gift. Keep it in the fridge before gifting though.

These are great but not fresh enough
I love these, but I think they just take too long to get here from England or wherever they’re made. They always smell a little yeasty for my taste

These crumpets are wonderful: both yummy and delicious
The couple of times I've been in the UK i didn't eat any crumpets. Shame. I did, though, eat some Duffy brand crumpets one morning on a tour bus with two Englishmen in 2019. Both of them were overjoyed that someone had gifted us these crumpets, and were vociferous about these being 'proper' crumpets like they had when they lived in England. Ian, who we refer to as Mary, demonstrated the right way that the crumpets should be slathered with butter (not margarine) and both Mary and Martin lamented not having any Marmite on the bus. But of course we didn't, we were on a bus on the way Minneapolis. But these crumpets are really and truly delicious. You'll be happier if you buy them.

Delicious toasted!
These are the perfect texture, consistency, and flavor of traditional crumpets! A nice thin layer of butter and these are a delight to consume
