Good quality, minor flaws
I got this set for my cat well over a year ago and we've been using them since. There are some minor issues, like the blue pan seems to stain very easily. For the water dish, this was especially prevalent. My cat enjoys dunking her paws in the water and then shaking the water off over and over. Don't ask why, but the point is that litter would end up in the water quite frequently and I was cleaning the water dish specifically about once a week. My gosh that thing is a pain to clean, though it probably wouldn't have annoyed me so much if I didn't have to clean the whole dang thing every week. After about a year of hand washing both, the food dish only once a month or so, I decided to try them in the dishwasher. This was a mistake. The clear plastic holders warped, even on the top shelf of the dishwasher. I can no longer seal the top of the food dish because the plastic has warped inward and down, creating a gaping hole between the lid and the lip of the plastic top.So, my warning to you, do not place these in the dishwasher. I threw away the water one because it was such a pain to clean already and the warp made it worse, but the food dish is fine for now. They both lasted over a year, almost 2, so I think I've gotten my monies worth. I probably won't buy again, just because of my ridiculous cat and her paw dunking habits, but if you have an animal who doesn't do that then you won't need to clean it as often as I did and it won't be an issue. They were easy to pop the plastic holders on and off their respective dishes, and my cat very much enjoyed the "glug glug" sounds every week when I flipped the dish over with her fresh water. We've always had issues with the flow of food in these kinds of things, and this is another one where the food frequently gets stuck and doesn't flow as freely as one would hope. It's a pretty easy fix though, you just give it a little shake or tip it forward a bit and it'll fill up the dish part quickly. If you will be gone for a period of time, it's a wide enough opening that an animal could paw at the food to get it to flow, and believe me they will find a way if they are hungry. Overall, not a bad purchase, especially for the price. I think next time I will go for something with less water capacity for easier cleaning and a more free flowing food hole.

These are the best
In particular the waterer is really good for what it is. It's a good size for my cat and I can fill it about halfway up and the cat has water for about a week. I use a filtered water pitcher to fill it and wash it thoroughly when I refill it.This is the second time I'm buying them. Most pet water dispensers have this awful metal spring in the cap. I know it would either rust or become a bacterial nightmare and that's why I love this one. It's just a hole and air pressure does all the work. The opening in the jug is big enough to get my hand inside to scrub it so there is no need for a brush. It's simple and easy to clean. Takes literally 5 minutes once a week and the cat has water. The only reason I'm replacing it now about 4 years later is the plastic container for the waterer is starting to yellow. Over time plastics will grow tiny microscopic crevises that become home to bacteria and I think I need to get a new one so my cat has healthy water. So I'm buying it again.I looked for similar products and there is a brand called Petfusion that has a waterer without the metal spring. However they don't have a matching feeder and for aesthetic purposes I would like a matching set. This set is all I could find.I don't often leave reviews but I wanted to give this set 5* and I wish I could find more pet water dispensers that use this simple air pressure design. The metal spring is dumb. Get a clue, people.

Wasn't sure...but turned out great
I have a medium/large breed dog (lab mix) who I had put on one of those slow feeder bowls because he was being a hog with his food and choking on it then hacking up completely unchewed food. I actually only wanted an automatic water dispenser as my dog needs his bowl refilled a million times a day, I was tired of the 2am wake up whining because his bowl became empty. I bought the set because they're about 17 a piece to buy them separately. So for a few dollars more I figured if the automatic feeder didn't work out for my dog I would just return to his slow feeder and use the automatic feeder for the cats.FOOD DISPENSER:-Successfully replaced slow feeder: To my surprise something most might see as a problem with the automatic feeder I see as a blessing, after the dog eats the food that spills out during the pressure of your new fill it doesn't continue to spill into the bowl quite as well, but instead just a small handfuls of kibble spill from the feeder, this keeps my dog from scarfing up giant mouthfuls.- Being able to fill it from the top is really convenient.-The size of the tank: I'm adding in new food about every two days. Any longer and I'd be a little worried about ants or bugs trying to climb into it, which still may become a problem once the warmer months hit.WATER DISPENSER:-Initially I found the water dispenser a little difficult, it didn't over flow or anything awful, I was just having a hard time getting the plug to stay closed before flipping the tank. however as I've continued to use it the plug now gives me no issue.-The wide fill opening: Allows for me to easily add some ice cubes to the tank. I'll have to find a suitable sized bowl to freeze larger chunks comes summer.-Filling once a day: Between my dog and cats using the water dispenser it's usually completely empty by morning so I'm refilling it once a day, which again is something I prefer as it avoids stagnant water.-None of my cats are frightened by the "gurgling" some others have complained about, in fact my one cat finds it terribly fascinating. He often runs to watch the bubbles when I release the plug after filling.-I would like to mention after about a week of use I noticed a slight stagnant odor inside the water tank, so I would suggest giving it a good cleaning at least that often with some mild detergent or correctly diluted bleach. I have well water, someone with city treated or chlorinated water may not experience this but it's still probably a good idea to give it a clean through once in a while.---Update regarding stagnant smell--- The stagnant smell quickly became a regular problem, I was noticing it smelled every day when I changed the water. I started adding 1 tsp of Apple Cider Vinegar to the 1.5 gallons of water, it has completely remedied this problem, both the cats and dog do not seem to mind the addition either.

Not so good
It’s just “okay” definitely not a good idea for a curious cat as mine likes to go swimming in the bowl, moved it for my dog and he enjoys it but it gets pretty dirty fast so have to wash it regularly …very messy also … as said at the beginning of this review … this product is “just okay”

Great Combo
With the addition of a 2nd cat to the household, I decided it was time to find a feeding solution that would save me some time and enable me to occasionally leave the city for a few days at a time. The water dispenser - well what can I say, it dispenses water without making a mess - give it a good scrub down and change the water once a week and you're good to go.The food dispenser - I was a little worried because I don't buy the same food all the time, often with different shapes - good to know that the opening on this dispenser is big enough to release the food and if by chance there is a bit of a back up the cat is smart enough to reach in and stir it up some - I've seen him do it in order to get his preferred flavor chunks.I keep the food dispenser elevated on an old end table to make sure the ants don't get to it (have a few ant traps on the floor) while the water dispenser is on the floor next to itAll in all a great little combo, especially when it's on sale in the $20 range

Vendedor amable. Producto defectuoso.
