FultonSTC1000101 Spare Tire Carrier, Bolt-On, Multi-Color

This bracket is easy to install and feels solid with the spare mounted to it. The welds look good and the bracket appears to be galvanized. My only real complaint is the 1/2"-13 carriage bolts, flat washers, and nuts they give you to mount the wheel to the bracket and the non-functional "wagon wheel" retainer washers that are intended to hold the bolts stationary to the bracket but do not. I would have given five stars if they just provided 1/2"-20 carriage bolts and actual lug nuts.

This is a decent product. I would not say great. However, choices under $30 all have one issue or another.The specs are clearly stated and everything they say comes in the package did come in the package. I knew from the get go I would have to make this work for my application with additional parts. I used SS channel strut, SS all thread, and related SS hardware, to get this to work with my larger I Beam trailer. Most of the include hardware was not useful to me.It did fit my 15" trailer tire with 5 lug on 4.5 perfectly. It looks like it could fit another size, but I don't have that one. There is a good amount of offset with this bracket, and it feels sturdy enough for my spare trailer tire.The included studs to mount the tire are 1/2-13 coarse thread. My trailer uses 1/2-20 fine thread. Therefore, I cannot use the same wheel security nuts. I cannot image this would have added most cost to the product to use the much more common 1/2-20 fine thread, making security easier. Maybe they should just include an assortment of sizes for various applications. However, keep in mind that the thief can just unbolt the whole thing and walk away with your tire and the mount. A locking cable is really the only way to lock this down, so plan on that.I would buy again.

Super strong. Looks really good. Best you'll find short of spending like a fool. Quality, cannot be improved upon for this item. You'll not be dissatisfied -- not a chance. I'll try to include a picture with this. Sometimes it takes too much time to bother, but I will give it a shot. If it turns out that there is no picture with this review, figure that I blew it off. No worries, though...you can't go wrong.UPDATE: Unfortunately, some of the other reviewers are giving 3, 2, and even 1 star reviews for this item---- because they hadn't read the details of the product to learn that there are specifics involved such as tire/rim sizes that will and will not fit. This is indeed unfortunate, because the product would "come in" at a near perfect five-star rating. I have absolutely no affiliation with the manufacturers or resellers et cetera of this thing...it simply bugs me that folks give low ratings, because a square peg won't fit in a round hole..., and they were "told" such -- in writing prior to check-out process. I'm still working on the picture upload.

Multiple length bolts for different applications, sturdy with tire mounted

Fortunately on our small Whaler Trailer the longer of the included hardware was sized just right. Make sure you measure your trailer before ordering as you may find the provided attachment bolts are too short for your application. I saw no compelling reason to purchase a spare mount equipped with a locking system as it's very easy to simply remove the 4 nuts that secure the mount from the trailer itself. Any thief that wants the tire/wheel will simply (and quite quickly) unbolt and take the entire mount / tire / wheel with him (or her). Murphy's Law suggests that because I've got the spare mounted now I should never need it. Had I not installed the spare I surely would have had a flat leaving the driveway.For those that travel long distances in remote locations you may be able to install two of these... one directly opposite the other.

Does the job. Many similar products seem to not be made for 15"/5 hole rims, judging by the frequent complaint in reviews, but this one works for that purpose. Unfortunately for me it didn't work to hold my spare on my Bayliner Capri boat trailer because it either holds it too high or not out far enough to avoid hitting the boat when mounted to the side frame, so I used it on my utility trailer instead. May re-attempt usage on the boat trailer on the front near the tongue after I move the front jack around. The instructions were typical of those included with Chinese-made products, but if you're ordering something that requires a wrench to install then you're probably mechanically inclined enough to figure it out in a few seconds.

This worked great. No modifications needed. Every thing needed to mount it to the trailer was included. Made the process very easy.

was not long enough for my purpose. Had to cut it in half and weld a section of square tube to get adequate distance.
