Black Dawn (Titan Book 8)

This is a hands down 5 star read! I have the maddest of love for Cristin Harber, and so do many others, judging by her accomplishments as a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author! We have been waiting for Parker’s story for a while, and it did not disappoint.I don’t usually do this in reviews, but I feel the need to offer my opinion on some issues that I have read in a few reviews of Black Dawn. First, I will caveat that this book could hold triggers for those that have suffered from domestic violence. If that is the case for you, then you might want to skip this one and enjoy the other Titan series reads, as they are all outstanding in different ways. That being said, I feel that Cristin nailed the ugliness, and emotional and physical aspects of abuse, and captured beautifully the irony and apparent contradiction demonstrated by a strong, intelligent, and accomplished woman who becomes afraid to leave a bad situation and has no self worth. This was an integral part of this story and needed to be described in detail to ensure that the reader could relate to Lexi and the reasons for her actions.Next, some have said that the hacker and cyber worlds were not portrayed accurately or realistically, and that there would never be a social media site that would contain personal data on military families. One of the things I LOVE about Cristin is her imagination and her attention to detail. From what I have seen in the other Titan stories, she does her research and can break down a technical topic into terms that a non-techie can understand. Also, as someone that has some insight into the government world, I can say that some of the scenarios from Titan stories that some may think are unrealistic, are closer to truth than fiction! Cristin is absolutely a genius story teller and I would love to know some of her sources, but she will never tell!Some reviewers were disappointed that Parker’s story did not have the same level of action and guns as the others. I actually enjoyed the change of pace, and the idea that intelligence can be the most powerful weapon is very cool and very sexy. And make no mistake, Parker is certainly capable of coming out with guns blazing when necessary!As always, I love reading about my #1 book boyfriend, Jared, also known as the boss man of Titan, so it was nice to get my fix of him in this story and I loved catching up on some of the women of Titan. The part where even the pregnant wives helped out during a stakeout was priceless! I also enjoyed the unlikely friendship that arose between Lexi and Sugar.As is typical for Titan couples, the dynamic between Lexi and Parker was hot and explosive, and these two are definitely soul mates destined to be together.Finally, we were introduced to a few new Titans, so it looks like there will be more to come from this series. Hooray!

From the start of The Titan Series, I have been in intrigued by Parker Black. He is The Titan Group "Go-To" for all things technology. He can hack into almost anything and has amazing abilities to save the day from the confinds of his computer. I was more than delighted to learn more about Parker Black in Black Dawn. It was fantastic to see the man come out from behind his keyboard and show what he is really made of.Lexi Dare has two distinct sides to her; professional and personal. Though she is among the best in her field professionally, her personal life is turning her into a shell of the woman she used to be. She is fighting to free herself from the control of a domineering, abusive man.When her professional life collides with danger, Lexi has to trust her instincts. She attempts to hide in plain site and be untraceable, but even she can't run from Parker Black.Cristen Harber took a different turn with this story. Though she still infused Black Dawn with suspense and combustible chemistry, there was so much more to the storyline. I devoured this book as I burned through the pages to find out what would happen next.PS- Jeffrey Kafer does an amazing job of narrating this story. His performance only enhances Cristin's work. His ability to make the characters come to life continued to keep me hooked on this book!

One of my greatest mistakes was starting this book at 9:30 pm, the typical ... " I'll just read one chapter and then I'll go to bed" Every Cristin Harber addict should know this was an utter lie, since at 3:30 am had to put the book down to rest my eyes and try to get at least a couple of hours of sleep.Before I read it, I was intrigued on Parker and how his story would work out and the Lexi would be (since I am a total sucker for geeks). Well Cristin did an amazing job with pairing Lexi a girl who could understand how his mind works and how to push his buttons and write herself into his programming mind.I have to be honest, I found myself teary at some parts, but loved the awkward situation Parker was feeling trying to make sense of what to expect or react when Lexi was there, working himself through the different scenarios and sometimes his logic and the Lexi's logic didn't match up.I think this is one of my favorite installments of the Titan group. Loved the ending, goosebumps included!

Cristin Harber has done it again these TITAN Men will literally rock your world. We met Parker Black Titans tech genius in Winters Heat and have had glimpses of him through out the rest of the books but this is his story and you definitely don't want to miss it.This book starts off very differently to the others we are introduced to some secondary characters and the main female character Lexi Dare. Lexi Dare has lived her life the best she can but one things she craves is the love of a family so when she meets Matt and he offers her this she takes hold of it and doesn't want to let go even when she knows she has too. Lexi is also a tech geek and whilst Matt her finance thinks she playing games on her laptop she's creating program's hacking and living her secret life as Silverchaos and helping Black Dawn out on some ops when he needs the extra help. These two have never met face to face but understand each other as others cant, they think in numbers, strategies, risk and analysis.Parker Black is Titans tech genius always looking for the next cyber challenge/threat he comes across as quiet and different to the other Titan men as we don't hear of him jumping from helicopters, fighting in the physical sense but this book shows that he's just as physical as the rest of the Titan men and can definitely hold his own in and out of the War Room.Parker and Lexi have known each other for 2 years now as he is also friends with Matt, Parker has known Matt since he was a child but their friendship is about to take a turn when he finds Matt and Lexi in a situation he doesn't approve of and intervenes but Matt has a hold over Lexi and uses her weakness at every chance he can.Lexi's life is about to change in more ways than one and she will need the help of her trusted friend Parker but also Silverchaos is going to need the help of her cyber friend Black Dawn. I don't want to give too much away but please go get your copy you are definitely going to devour this book and fall in love with Parker Black his quiet strength and sinful body will leaving your wanting more.It's also good to see some of our favourite Titan men and women showing up in this book Colby and Mia Winters, Jared Westin, Rocco, Sugar, Beth and Nicola plus we also get the names of 3 new Titan Men so I can say that I don't think this will be the last book in the series plus the epilogue to this book will literally leave you laughing out loud.Well Done Cristin on another great book keep up the hard work we do truly appreciate it.

A long wait for Parker's book, but worth every second. This book covers some very difficult subjects but they are done well and only add to the book/plot.Heart wrenching to hot is delivered as only Titan Men can and Parker Black delivers just as much 'Alpha' as his team mates but with his hidden hacker Lexi Dare never stood a chance of keeping her heart. Individually they are two of the best in the world-you cannot begin to imagine how good they would be if they joined forces-they sparks that fly each time them meet are only the beginning and by the end of the book we no longer have sparks but a raging inferno.This book sucks you in from the start and I loved every page-even those that made me cry and pray for Lexi to find the strength she needed.

Really enjoyed this one, Parker was so unexpected (in a really good way). A computer geek that had it GOING ON in a big way, and really hot to boot.There is abuse (physical, mental and sexual), a trigger for some. Which is why I so totally got why Lexi put up with Matt the mofo until she woke up and realised she did not need to put up with his crap. She wasn't alone, and how Parker stepped up to the plate for her was bloody awesome.Loved getting a peek at characters from previous books, all this awesomeness wrapped up with an epilogue that had me giggling - and I don't giggle!Another fabulous addition to the Titan series. I've decided I will quite happily read CH's shopping list!

To say I enjoyed this novel is an understatement, long awaited since book seven and well worth the wait. Parker the tech for Titan and Lexi a brilliant hacker have their story in this pager turner which was difficult to leave for any amount of time. This series is always an easy seamless reads which makes the novel flow all too soon.With each novel it is so easy to fall a little in love with each Titan man and Parker is no different he has all the attributes every woman craves and more. Lexi has her world turned upside down and together they find balance and each other. Enjoy!

Parker's story has been long anticipated as he has featured in the background in all the previous books. I wondered if he would be a bit weaker than his Titan team mates or less comfortable out in the field but wow he has everything all tied up in one delectable package. Lexi is a complex character but perfect for Parker. She is however the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Her switch from abused woman to her alter persona was a little too swift to be totally believable.The book has all the action we have come to expect from the Titan series together with steamy love scenes and plenty of great team banter.

I started this yesterday morning, had a break in the afternoon and then finished it last night. parker is one special guy, lexi is really lucky that he loves her. I love all these titan guys and girls and their stories. this one is intense and quite full on in places, well written and the computer stuff well researched. they make a great couple well suited to each other, complementing their work being at the same level. cristen has delivered us another great story from our fav badass guys, looking forward to the next.

Been waiting for Parker's story and it was worth the wait. Parker has always been in the background in previous books. Parker is a very strong team member in the Titan team and even own his own he is even stronger. Lexi is quite a complex character but perfect for Parker. This book is packed full of emotion. Great read.

This series is awesome, each bk draws u further into the Titan world. With hot sexy protective alphas, sarcastic boss and cute animals and of course feisty ladies. This bk is poignant and heartbreaking. It shows luv and finding happiness. Also overcoming abuse and abandonment. Cristen tells an amazing story. Long may they continue. Can't wait for more and to see all those Titan babies come Into the family.

Wow Parker, he's much more than a hero he literally rescues his girl but has know idea that she has huge secrets and the bad guys definitely want her and her mad skills but her home life is beyond awful.Don't want to give much away but Titan are as always the team to trust and have on your side.Christin Harber has another sure fire winner, hope there are more Titan and Delta to come

Four stars mainly due to jarring grammar. Storyline bobs along nicely but is a bit slow in parts, could have held more hacker/gamer info. Lexi 's storyline is highly illustrative of women in that situation and the action and sex continue unabated

If you like black ops and suspension with a little family and loyal friends and a big dose of romance and love this is the book for you the whole series is great and you get updates on the others as you read. Different style each time x

The wait is over - fans of the Titan series will not be disappointed with this latest installment about the team. Parker and Lexi's book unfolds in typical Cristin Harber fashion and I couldn't put the kindle down until I finished their story. I am not leaving any spoilers, you will have to read it for yourselves -Brilliant

The long awaited Parker Black is here and Cristin Harber didn't let me down. That was awesome, never a dull moment from start to finish. I couldn't put it down. Great epilogue, maybe with that time frame we could be seeing the start of the next generation of the Titan Group.

Loved it brilliant storyline, Parker is one hot Alpha male, loving and caring. Lexi deserved a man like Parker with what she put up with throughout her life. Hope there is going to be another book out soon.
