Superb, functionally oriented design. Great balance. Trim. Very, very comfortable handle. The design genius in the Grohmann knives is in the handle design. The handle is trim in forward area to optimize using the dexterity of the first two fingers of the hand but thicker toward the rear to optimize the grip strength of the third and fourth fingers of the hand. This number 2 model is just right for fish and small game. Will be great for field dressing deer as well. Top notch quality. Factory edge was very good but not quite there. Took only 2 minutes on a ceramic to get it finished off to shaving sharp. Couldn't be happier.

This knife works just as well in the kitchen as it does in the field the grip takes a bit to get used to but it can’t be beat for a all around useable knife

Quality and beautiful knife worth the money, and fits in my hand well... I just wish the carbon steel variant was available on amazon. I like the stainless but I find it hard to sharpen comparatively to the c70 carbon steel they offer.

It is an interesting knife with the handle slightly raised from the blade. I bought this at the recommendation of a friend for the specific use of cleaning waterfowl. Too me it is a slightly larger blade than I like for the task of cleaning ducks but it does the job.A word of warning though, the knife comes butter knife sharp. You will want to spend some time on the blade before putting it to use. I didn't think a company would sell a knife dull out of the box. I was unhappy to say the least when I discovered the knife so dull it was practically useless while on an extended trip.

Interesting knife with a nice sheath. Out of the box it had uneven sharpness across the blade, which is surprising for a knife meant to process fish and game. The tip especially is dull. Knife also has a slight bend (about 3/32 of an inch) that must have come from the heat treat. Comfortable handle though.

Great knife

Knife is nice. Fits hand well and perfect for fine work. Worked well for skinning white tails. The large Canada stamped in the blade is over the top but doesn't hurt functionality. I would definitely recommend this knife. Great job.
