An informative and enjoyable read for me and the children in school

Great book for kids, really interesting and informative and written in a simplified style that they will love.

Great book telling the story of Matthew Henson (African American polar explorer) - excellently explains message about racial inequality and prejudice in the US in the early/mid 20th century

While the start of the book was a bit sad, the character was resilient, and he met some great mentors who gave him strength, aspiration and hope. It is a great book to teach children about diversity, resilience and hope.

Great for children and a wonderful true story that highlights racism and the impacts it has. A beautiful story about a fascinating man
