Product is awesome! It actually bonds plastic.
First off- I ordered this from Amazon, but the package I received was in rough shape. The box was ripped in multiple places, the labels on the cement were yellowed and had fallen off, and one of the bottles of cement had been opened already. Both bottles were less than crystal clear. I was in a time crunch and since this stuff is supposed to have a 2 year shelf life, I tried the open bottle. Unfortunately it wouldn't stick anything together. Even got some on my fingers and no sticking. Contacted Amazon and they issued a refund, no hassle. Set to work getting another (hopefully fresh) pack. Including this info because clearly this was just a bad/old package and should not be a reflection on the product, but a note to look for yellowing labels or liquid if you get it because it's probably a sign the product is past it's shelf life. Got a second pack and then fell in love with this stuff. It's now one of my favourite hidden gems. I was installing a rear dash cam in my Jeep and decided to take the time to run the cable through the the factory wire tubes and under the rear lift trim so it wasn't dangling. In the process of removing the trim panel, I broke 5 of the plastic mounts that the trim fasteners attach to (see pic). I've tried many kinds of adhesives including many epoxy and super glue products in the past to try and mend broken plastic things, but nothing has ever worked. I figured I was going to have to replace the whole trim panel, but then saw Q Bond on a Youtube video. With a fresh pack in hand, I followed the process on the first broken tab- apply the glue and hold the pieces in place for 20 seconds. I waited 30. Let go and the piece held. Then I sprinkled some of the black powder on one side of the now re-attached tab, poured some glue on it and watched it smoke. Flipped it over and repeated on the other side, then tested it. It was rock solid, so I installed the metal clip and repeated the process with the rest of the broken tabs. All went great except one. On one of them, I didn't line the tab back up correctly as the glue set, so it was at a weird angle. I had to file down the hardened black powder to get the clip on, so there wasn't much left supporting the glue. Decided to re-install the trim back in the Jeep and finish installing the dash cam around lunch time on Christmas day, before heading out to visit family. Everything clipped back into place except the one I had botched. It broke off. I was scared to take the panel back off because although it had snapped in firmly back in place, I thought that prying the clips back out may re-snap the plastic tabs. So... I tried to fix the last one in-place on the Jeep. Bad idea. Long story short, because of the position, when I tried to apply the glue to the black powder, some of it dripped on my fingers. Unlike with the first pack, this time three of them boded together instantly. In a mad panic, and suddenly envisioning Christmas day in the Emergency Room, I raced to the bathroom and used a lot of hot water, soap and gentle prying. Eventually I got them separated. Crisis avoided! Not wanting to go through that again, I opted to risk removing the trim panel again, and to my amazement, not a single tab broke off. I re-did the one I botched (you can just sand or file off the old glue/powder and start from scratch), put the clip on and plopped the trim back in place. It's been on for 4 months and no issues. I've since used it again to repair a dust bag attachment for my palm sander. It broke years ago and I keep cobbling it together with duct tape because I can't find a replacement. 30 minutes of cleaning and 5 minutes of applying Q bond, and now I finally have a solid, working dust bag. If you need to fix broken plastic, this will do it. The piece doesn't look clean and tidy after you apply it, so not for something that needs to look nice, but for things like car parts and tools where it won't be seen or doesn't need to look good, but needs to be strong, this is killer. Two obvious tips- make sure the fluid is clear and not yellowing to be sure you have a fresh product. The initial glue should bond the plastic together and hold it in place within seconds. If it doesn't, it's old. And make sure you wear gloves!

We were so happy with this product. It fixed our broken RV fridge door shelf perfectly and seems to be holding up. We would definitely recommend it.
