Amazing Buckwheat!
Arrived in perfect condition. It is a delicious product, just like it is in Russia. We love to cook it.

For those who care what to eat
This is a delicious and healthy food for those who do not eat fatty/sweet fastfood. These are not flakes made from flour, they are rolled buckwheat grains. Preheat the milk, add these flakes and cook/wait for 5 minutes. Salt, sugar to taste. The flakes should float in a small amount of milk , not a thick consistency. Recommend!

Favorite food
All the negative feedback is for the lack of knowledge on how to prepare and consume. โFlakesโ donโt mean โeat raw out of the boxโ. Add cold water 2:1 and leave for a couple hours to preserve vitamins until water absorbs. If in a hurry, add boiling water instead and microwave for a few minutes. With a pinch of salt and some corn oil or sunflower oil it is a tasty and healthy side dish. With a little sugar, salt and cold milk (after it was cooked as above) it is a breakfast that even picky kids like. Another traditional recipe is to add a smashed hard boiled egg (warning for very literal people: remove the eggshell first!), oil, salt, French fried onions and canned beets. If you educate yourself, it is a great gluten-free product.

Good when new. Expired too fast.
I ordered a box of these Buckwheat Flakes in early June of 2023. It was good to have them with me (carried in a large, old vitamin bottle) during that summer, when I went out to western New York State to visit a spot that is dear to me, because it's associated with my father's childhood, where I had to depend on local restaurants for my meals. With a cup of hot water or tea, I could quickly and easily "cook" up a serving of these gluten-free, nice-tasting grains for myself. This year, however, when I was beginning to make plans to travel there again this summer, I looked carefully at the top of the box, and read the following: "I 02.2023/1120 II 01.2024" I believe that this indicates that the buckwheat flakes expired in January of 2024. So, I guess I can't use them again this summer. I don't know if all buckwheat flakes have a short shelf-life but, in reaction to this disappointment, at the end of last month I ordered three 500 gram (17.64 ounce) bags (the minimum order) of _organic_ buckwheat flakes from a company called "Naturitas," based in Massanes, Spain. The shipping fee was quite high, and they're only promising to get it to me (in NYC) between 11/25 and 12/03/24. But I really hope that those bags will last me for a while.

Before everything was fine now problems with packaging
Great product overall, tasty and easy to make. However, I have been having issues with recent deliveries where the boxes arrive open or smashed in the paper Amazon envelope and all contents are spilled.

Donโt do it
They were expensive and definitely not worth it. They were not buck wheat flakes they were very hard dried crunchy small pieces that definitely have to be cooked to consume. I tasted them in that form and they have no real flavor but a bitter aftertaste like with some thing is rancid or headed in that direction. Nothing like was what was the scribd or what I was looking for or even acceptable for what it was

These are delicious
I think about a quarter cup for a serving would be about right, as they swell quickly to about 4 times their size. They remind me a lot of grape nuts, but not as crunchy after a few minutes in milk. I added raisins, but think next time I will try some basil seeds with it. I still do think they are expensive, but what a grat alternative to wheat, which I am allergic to.

These are not flakes . The product is cut groats that are hard and do not cook like flakes . The add showed cookies similar to oatmeal cookies , however the cut groats remain hard . The product will only be good for hot cereal . I have bought buckwheat flakes which look like oatmeal this product is not the same. The problem is translation please remove the word flakes . It is a cut groat that requires boiling to eat it cannot be used in baking. See picture below. Buckwheat flakes on the left . This product on the right. requires
