Drive Medical Aluminum Rollator Walker Fold Up and Removable Back Support, Padded Seat, 6" Wheels, Red

i have never left a review on any of my purchases before, but i HAVE to post a 5 out of 5 star review and say how very pleased I am with this rollator!!!! I bought this because i wanted more mobility in stores/places where there aren't electric scooters, shopping carts, or benches to sit on when i need to rest. i carry a heavy portable oxygen tank over my shoulder and my purse, and w/o some kind of support or a bench to sit on, i can sometimes get in a bad way quickly. but now if i know i'm going somewhere where they may not have benches or carts, then i'll just take this along with me and have my own seat! AND the seat lifts up so i can put my oxygen tank in there and my purse if they get too heavy, and scoot around with the seat up. this rollator comes with a removable nylon bag under the seat, but i've ordered a wire basket from another online store that i think i'll get more use from and will also be better support for my portable O2 tank. so, on to my review... WOW, this is so sturdy, and slides out of the box nearly entirely ready to go! just had to insert the hand grip posts into holes, and put in a screw knob when they are the right height, and add the very nicely padded back rest, if you'd like. i'm 5'6 and had the hand grip bars set at the last hole. so if a person is much taller than that, the hand grips may be too low for them to be comfortable w/o hunching over. but for me it's PERFECT!!!! this Rollator glides so easily and is so smooth, with front wheels that turn all around, so cornering is easy. and fits through normal household doorways, too! i like that it easily collapses on itself by just lifting up the seat then pulling up on the strap that's underneath. and it spreads open easily when you're ready for it. brakes work great, too. no fear of it getting away from me while i'm sitting! so, that's my review. i think i covered everything except the color! i got the beautiful deep red. i love everything about this! if you need something to help you get around and give you more independence, please consider this. Oh, and the price is great, too!!!!

Fantastic!!! Exceeded all expectations!! Got for my 90 year old mother!! Much easier to use than standard walker. She is able to walk faster with greater maneuverability in her kitchen and apartment as well as farther and farther distances as she regains her strength and stability. It gave her the confidence she needed to push herself and go farther when she became aware she could sit down and rest if need be. Prior to using this, she was fearful of going very far walking as exercise , that she might feel weak and fall. 300% improvement in taking regular walks and mingling with residents since she uses this. Best purchase and bargain ever. She's going to social affairs, dr appts etc on her own again, even playing the organ for socials and friends. Made all the difference in giving her the confidence to continue to live alone as opposed to going to assisted living!! So happy and pleased!! Loves the storage under the seat for her stash of necessities and phone. No longer needs a purse Great Product!! Can't rave enough about this. A real "Quality Life" saver for mom! Heavy duty but light weight, folds easily. Not a single negative so far A 5+++

Omg I am thrilled with this walker! Recovering from hip replacement and was using the standard clunky walker Medicare pays for. I wanted something I could start walking further with that moves better and sit down if I get tired. It's perfect. Has a large storage compartment for things you need to transport from place to place. I bought a cup/phone holder combo to hold my drink & phone while walking outdoors. Folds up in a second. Good breaking system and awesome large, heavy duty wheels that roll great on pavement or grass. It's narrower than your standard walker so yours not banging into furniture while maneuvering room to room. There's not one thing about this rollator I don't love. It was worth every penny as I will have more surgery done in the future & have a better chance at a quicker recovery with this type of walker. It was a steal at $69! The med supply here wanted $97.

This is the second Drive brand rollator I have purchased from Amazon for my elderly mother. She has one that she uses all the time at home and this one will be used in the car for outings. This rollator is sturdy but lightweight and folds up easily to fit into the car trunk or behind the front seats. I is streamlined and stylish, has a seat and backrest that provides a place for her to sit down when she gets tired. The unit rotates on a dime making it easy for her to maneuver around on her own. The handles are easily adjusted up or down and fits her height and arm length. It has storage under the seat so she can put her purse out of sight and doesn't have to carry it. The wheels go over uneven pavement and thresholds with little effort. The unit she uses at home is the same except it has a metal basket in front to carry items around the house and for her cat to ride around in. I can't think of a thing that I would change. The cost of this unit makes it a great value also. I have purchased 4 rollators in the past couple of years and we like this one the best. I highly recommend this unit.

I have used this for a few weeks now and it is a very sturdy walker, which is what I needed so I can get around safely. The only problem is the brakes do not work as well as expected, I can still push the walker forward easily both when they are pressed or are fully locked, so I need to be careful to remember that so I don’t slip. I like that it folds easily and is light enough for me to lift it up so I can put it in my car when I need to go out. The under seat basket is a bit small, which is inconvenient at times. The seat is comfortable enough and sturdy.

I have purchased this walker twice. I needed to replace the previous one because the brakes no longer worked due to the cables coming out of their casing on the handles. This was my fault, because I was pretty rough taking it in and out of the car not realizing I was catching the brake cables on something once in a while and pulling on them. In a question above, someone mentioned a bike shop could fix the brakes. Our local shop could fix it, but their price was $53 to replace both cables! It was only $10 more to order a new walker. (I'm gonna save the old walker for parts, like wheels, if I need them.) I learned a lesson, and will take better care taking it in and out of the car. The first time, the walker arrived great condition. The second time, I had to return the walker because the packaging was broken and when I opened it a wheel was broken at the same place. The replacement walker arrived in perfect condition two days later. The walker comes mostly put together. All you have to do is put the handles and the back rest on. I didn't even look for instructions as it is that easy. This is an nice aluminum walker. I wanted aluminum so it would be lighter taking it out of the car. It really does weight just over 3 lbs. and is easy to lift. Because it is aluminum, it doesn't perform like the heavier metal ones. Depending on the surface you are walking on, it can shift just a little as you move. This can be solved by place a brick in the pouch for weight if it is bothersome. It wasn't for my husband. He has no trouble using it. The only con is that he really needed one more hole to move the handles up a notch. He's six foot, and the handles are just a tiny bit short. There is a more expensive one that has higher handle capabilities. Although I hope I won't have to, I would definitely purchase it again.

A great product! If you are "upgrading" from a two-wheel basic walker, this one might take a bit of getting used to. It is very easy to move with, and extremely maneuverable. Also, incredibly quiet if you are used to clanking around with a two-wheeler. Brakes work fine. And, it's narrow enough to fit through interior doorways in the house (including the bathroom). The seat seems plenty large, and lifting it to expose the carry-pouch is simple. Folding/unfolding is a breeze with the pull-up strap; just make sure the support bar is fully down when re-opening it before moving off. Some have said the handles are fragile; I haven't found that to be true. I weigh 230 but am pretty careful with tools and equipment, and expect no problems with the handles, brakes, or any other part of this walker. Update after two months: Cannot imagine life without this tool! Have had to use it across rough unpaved ground recently and both the walker and I survived just fine. Have gotten so used to having the seat as a "rack" for schlepping dishes to and from the table, and for carrying other stuff as I do my chores that I'm having questions about how I'll live without it after my "temporary" disability has eased.

This was VERY easy to assemble. It's very sturdy, extremely well made. Didn't have to make any adjustments upon receiving and just adjusted one brake for the first time yesterday, over a month after purchase. Given he uses all day, every day, I think that's reasonable. Highly recommend. Collapses easily, fits in the truck of my sedan, unfolds easily most times - occasionally it will get tightly pushed together which does require a bit of prying open. The seat storage basket is handy (though never put anything in here for someone with memory issues - out of sight, out of mind). He mainly uses when we are out shopping or bringing things I'm from shopping. It allows him to feel like he is helping. While sturdy, it is light-weight and I can usually get into my truck one-handed. He LOVES how easily it maneuvers, especially in tight spaces.
