Snow White: A Graphic Novel

An easy read.
My granddaughter specifically asked for this book. I was surprised because she is an avid reader and it seemed too simple for her. She enjoys it. I think it would be good for much younger readers, possibly as young as 5 or 6.

Very disappointing
I did not enjoy this graphic novel. Although the illustrations are very pretty and I liked the black and white vibe to it, but it fell short...so very short...when it came to storytelling. This is another retelling of the classic story, Snow White, this time set in the roaring 20's, which sounded very appealing to me and was actually the reason I purchased the book. Unfortunately, it was anything but appealing. There was little to no dialogue, with illustrations that were, although pretty as mentioned earlier, blurry and unclear. Most of the time you couldn't really tell what was actually happening in each panel and had to guess at the events of the story.Very disappointing and not worth the time or money.

and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The art style was amazing
This was a very different take on Snow White, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The art style was amazing, and I read the whole book in a single sitting!

A Great Addition to Your Graphic Novel Library
I am always on the lookout for a great graphic novel to add to my classroom library. SNOW WHITE, by Matt Phelan, will be a great addition. I love the fact that this fairy tale of a story is set in the depression era. It reminds me of the greed that drives our society and motivates people to do the unthinkable. Yet, good will always prevail. We can find the kind, true-hearted people everywhere, if we look hard enough. I cannot wait to share this story with my daughters and my class of fifth-graders.

Love it!
I really love this book. As a teacher it is great for the kids to see stories like this.
