Forever

Alesso is here- The next Calvin Harris, as he should be that successful given the company he keeps. He's the other half of their Song "Under Control" - That song is what got me interested in Alesso. He's an awesome mix of what I love about Calvin Harris and what I love about Swedish House Mafia. Take those two sounds, drop it in a blender, mix, pour it out and you get Alesso's sound.Standouts: Cool, Sweet Escape, Under Control, Scars, If I lose Myself, Tear the Roof Up.I also downloaded extra songs of his and added to my mix that I burned on CD. Those songs include- Pressure w/ Nadia Ali, Years w/ Matthew Koma, and a remix of Cool (more downtempo, trap style sound) but it's nice.Cool is my standout track. Cannot listen to it enough.The solid voice from Roy English combined w/ the uplifting sounds/beats from Alesso make it my top track thus far. I love Forever from Alesso- and I'm only halfway thru the album.Peace- Jared

EDM has really hit the mainstream and record companies seem to be on the lookout for the next hot new DJ. Alesso has been floating around awhile and this is his first full length collection. I enjoy the collaborations with the singers more so than the instrumentals he puts forth here. The songs with Tove Lo, Ryan Tedder and Roy English really stand out as catchy pop dance tunes with a beat edge and fit the new mold created by Calvin Harris and David Guetta. Summery listening for sure. The instrumentals are for the his hardcore clubber followers and are more Martin Garrix meets Skrillex. A little hard to listen to upon first hear, though I'm sure they work at 2am on the dance floor when whatever you are on kicks in.

Sorry, I'm just not feeling this album. Seems a little tedious and forced. Maybe Zedd has set the bar too high for this type of music. I seek out uplifting, energized, and beautiful music. This album doesn't quite deliver for me.
