The Dinosaurs Diwali Adventure

There are three reasons I bought this book:1) I wanted my kid to know more about Diwali2) My kid LOVES dinosaurs3) The other review of this book made me giggle for days after reading itNow having read this book:1) It is VERY informative about Diwali - there is a lot of detail in this book2) There are a lot of dinosaurs (and a woolly mammoths)3) They changed the moon! In my book it looks like a black circle was drawn over the full moon to make it right! Even so, the other review still cracks me up

Must have, kids love it!

if you are not acquainted with the festival light celebration of the Indian culture, you might not know of it...but we knew of a family with children...their children appreciated it very much. nice book.

They got a basic fact wrong by showing a full moon on Diwali night.

The book is very detailed on the events of Diwali, however the characters are a bit confusing. Don't know who is who. Would've been nice to have a intro page with each dinosaur and their name. The book cover page colors are dull. When taking a Pic in the light the colors brighten up on the cover. Font in the book is smaller than anticipated. Bit difficult to read to smaller children. Graphics/drawings are not high quality. It's the same dinosaur cut and pasted onto each page. My four year old wasn't that interested in the book even though it was dinosaurs (and he loves dinosaurs). Wouldn't gift it to anyone. For the price point I believe there are higher quality books or for a few dollars more.

This is a really good telling of what Diwali is about, in a fun way for children. It is very detailed and hence children under 7 might not understand all of it. The copy I got was correct about the moon, it talked about the darkest night and showed the New Moon
