amazing!
This thing is so great! So easy and it really works! I've tried alot of different methods and this honestly is the best way to get perfect, consistent butter every time! I'm buying another one as a gift! I love this thing!

Potency, Potency, Potency
Functions as advertised, but does it produce potency? While I didn't get loaded as I had hoped, it's not a Mota Pot issue, per se. As a life-long smoker, I've been trying to convert to edibles for obvious reasons. I've been buying edibles and attempting to cook my own. As it turns out I need about 100mg to get loaded. I know this from buying them here in CO stores, where it's regulated well and sold by the mg. The problem cooking them yourself is that there is no way to measure the amount of THC being extracted. So, for me the Mota Pot probably doesn't hold enough pot to generate 100mg+ butter. And, I'm using the best of the best flower, so it's not a quality issue. If you know you're a lightweight, this might just do the trick. By the way, if you're tolerance is high for edibles like mine, this presents a problem. You'll be eating small cakes every time you want a buzz, which won't compliment your figure or heart condition any. I'm a skinny dude and don't want to compromise that over a nightly buzz. (And, there is only a couple vapor pens on the market that are actually producing vapor, so research very carefully; the majority are just labeling their products that way.)

Don't waste your money!!!!
Ordered this as a Christmas gift for my husband and the first time we applied heat to the bottom of the pot, this horrible black smoke was burning off this nasty oily gunk on the bottom half of the pot; we followed all the instructions to the T and ensured the stove was on the lowest setting (we have an electric stove, so no open flames), the pot never whistled, just stunk up the house with this horrible black smelly smoke. In addition, the butter never got infused, so it was a waste of money buying the Mota and the money wasted on the herbs that were supposed to be infused.

Not a fan!
Product arrived with a broken handle, I thought no big deal still should work fine. Product works as described and in that regard its easy to use, but after only a few uses the bottom has already began to rust on the inside and it even left a rust spot on my counter where I left it sitting for awhile. I tried to contact their customer service and never heard back EVER. I wouldn't buy it again because of poor construction and poor customer service!

Can be great if not defective, TEST first!
Seemed easy to use- put butter and water in bottom portion, herb to be infused in strainer, screw on top. Easy. However mine had a tiny hole in the bottom which didn't leak when I added the butter/water, so no warning of what was about to happen. As soon as the pot went on the stove, the pressure of the boiling water caused the liquid to start spewing out the hole. Hard, expensive lesson learned, test yours first. Put just the listed amount of water/butter in the pot bottom and do a test run *without any herbs*, boil it, and make sure there are no leaks.EDIT - I have now used a replacement extensively and can add a few things to the review, as well as having upgraded it to 4 stars instead of 2. First, it works decently. I don't know how this method of making butter compares to the long/hard way with cheesecloth and whatnot (as far as the "strength" of the butter), but it does the job quickly and easily. I've made numerous batches of butter and the end-product cookies are effective. Second, it can have a tendency to look like it's rusting in certain spots. My advice is to clean it promptly after it cools off and do not EVER leave it sitting with water in it. Wash it and flip the two main pieces upside down to drain and dry. Make sure you are taking out the rubber gasket and strainer that are underneath the upper portion, I didn't know those came out at first. I'd also strongly advise turning the upper pot portion upside-down after removing the gasket and strainer, and letting very hot water run through the hole in the bottom for several minutes. That is the spout that the butter bubbles up through. It takes some patience, because the water drips out the top of the spout very slowly as you hold it there upside down, but if you don't do this, you're going to have old rancid butter gunking up your pot. Yuck.

is easy to use and clean
Outstanding! It does exactly what is made to do ==> Infuse butter with medical cannabis. It takes only about 10 - 15 minutes to infuse a cube of butter. It work well, is easy to use and clean. Highly recommended.
