Rich color that last
This dye gave my fabric a deep even brown color that didn’t fade after washing. I died my fabric for my prom dress sleeves and tried to get it as close to my skin tone . Super easy to use and works best on synthetic fabrics. Very durable , bright , value for your money and perfect size.

You CAN use in your washing machine, if...
I ordered a fuzzy vest that was supposed to be a khaki-brown color from China. So, I really shouldn't have been surprised when, three-weeks later, it arrived and it was a bright PINK. No where near the color I ordered. Sending it back would be a hassle and a loss of money while finding another one was proving impossible. It was exactly what I needed for a costume but the WRONG COLOR. Desperate, I decided to dye it. Having no idea what it was made out of (again, China), I figured nothing natural and I went with this dye.Only problem? The vest didn't fit in any of our pots to "cook" it on the stove for half an hour. So, figuring I had nothing more to lose (the vest was going in the trash if the dyeing made it look awful or to charity if the dye didn't take), I put it in our washing machine. I ONLY did this because our washing machine gets VERY HOT and has a SOAK setting that allows me to time how long I want to soak an item. I put the vest in and waited until it got to the SOAK cycle. Then I paused it, poured in the dye, stirred it around with a big wooden spoon, and then restarted it. Nothing left to do but hope for the best. The picture speaks for itself. It is no longer a bright baby pink. It is a light brown! I'd prefer it a little darker (maybe doing it on the stove top would have provided such results or using two bottles of dye in the washer), but it is much closer to what I need. So, yes, this product works. AND, if you luck out and have the "right" kind of washing machine, you MAY be able to get away with putting larger items in it with this dye.

Covered up stains!
I thrifted this dress the other day, but when I got home, I found some brown stains on it… so I used this dye to cover them up! I had no idea what the fabric of my dress was since there was no tag, but it felt synthetic. I think I guessed correctly! I used half the bottle of dye for this dress, and it was in the dye/water mixture at almost boiling for around 15 mins. It turned out great! Well worth the $4.50 I spent on this dye!

Doesn't do a great job
I embarked on an adventurous project of dyeing a synthetic dress. Excited and skeptical, I set out to see how well synthetic fabrics could absorb the dye, given their notorious reputation for resisting coloration. The color was indeed present, yet sections of the dress showcased an odd coloration, with patchy areas where the dye had failed to penetrate evenly.

It works!!!!!
Followed instructions to the letter, l maintained water termperature throughout the process ie just below boiling point. Managed to dye a pair of nylon rucksack straps completely. Even the hard plastic parts were dyed into the color that matched with the rest!!! Turned out better than l had expected. But need to be mindful of messing up the kitchen. Its best done with a portable stove and the process done outside the kitchen…. Preparation is key…

Didn't work for me
Unfortunately my result is 100% disappointing, the picture shows the result after using a whole "chocolate brown" bottle with stove-top method for 50min at ~212F. Only the brand name stitching turned black from white. Everything else turned a tiny bit darker and lost its shine, even the white and blue flowers!I chose this color after consulting the company through their website and showed them the picture and here is part of their response "Hello, When dyeing over medium or dark pink with a dark brown, the color result should be close to a dark brown. You can see a picture of a bottle of DyeMore chocolate brown at...."After the 30min of "cooking" the car-seat cover in the dye mixture I was still able still see the pink color, so I thought I will give it 20min more. During this whole time is it on the stove, the dye mixture is at boiling temperature and I kept stirring and making sure it is totally covered. I let it cool down for a while after that, rinsed it with water and it is as you see in the picture. (I didn't take a picture of it before, but found one on the internet)So it might work for some, but not for all and my review is based on my experience only.---------------UPDATE:After I complained about the result on their website they sent me an email offering a full refund. And also explaining that some materials that are waterproofed reject the dye, and that might be the case with the car-seat.So two more stars for the excellent customer satisfaction, but cannot give it 5 stars since it still didn't work for me

Perfect!
The media could not be loaded. Synthetics are so hard to dye. This was exactly what I needed to salvage two of my favorite clothing items that were just not fit to wear anymore. I bought this to redye a white dress that I had bought for my bridal shower (stunning, slinky, dress I needed to wear it more than once, but white...eh) I had tried to dye it sandstone before but it was just too light to wear to a wedding IMO so I bought the chocolate brown and Oh. My. Goodness. I'm so excited to wear this to a friend's wedding in October. I also added my favorite atheliesure sweatshirt that had been stained from washing with something blue. I honestly didn't know if it would work but there is no sign of the blue stain and the color literally made it my favorite Cowell-neck all over again. Great for synthetic materialsNOTE: different materials dye differently. The stitching stayed white on the sweater (I love it personally) and the lace is drastically more chocolate than the polyester dress (again, personally, I love this look)

Love the color, doesn’t seem to fade, used in my front-load machine… Not stained!A friend did recommend I boil a stockpot of water, add dye, start loaded machine & quickly pause & Carefully add Hot dye water, then restart.Excellent results!
