I was very skeptical this would be a good replacement for my knife block. But I sure was wrong, this is a hundred times better because 1) it takes up less space, 2) you can see the whole knife so you know what one to select, 3) it looks good, 4) magnet holds all size knifes with no problem yet it is easy to remove the knives, and 5) super easy to clean it!I'm getting a second one for another kitchen.

I grew weary of the disorder of various knives shapes and sizes on top of the counter, and I wished for a solution many times. I wanted a hanging rack, but couldn't see a way to install in my kitchen.This mag knife block is ideal for cooks who have bought knives of different sizes and shapes over the years and like to use particular knives for particular purposes. It is big enough to store 9 -11 knives of varying sizes and heavy enough not to tip. And its a lot easier to keep clean than just about any other kind of knife holder IMO (esp. the solid block type that is often sold with knife sets).I just wish I would have bought one years ago!

I like that this product has a very strong magnet to hold all of my knives. I did not want to put a magnetic strip on my wall and was happy to see this style of product, and for the price I thought I would give it a shot. I couldn't be happier. Unlike other similar products I did not have to install this item or assemble the bottom rubber feet. It's very slim and it's going to be so much easier to get to my knives and store them after cleaning then what I had been using in the past. I looked for an alternative to the tall universal bristle style knife block, which was only effective when it's new. Over time the bristles start to break and I could not easily slide my knives into it anymore. I think this item is a great value, again it's a lot less money than the universal blocks I've used in the past. This item is boxed in a simple cardboard box. The item has styrofoam on either side of the magnet and a simple plastic bag around the whole thing, to protect during shipping.

I really like the block, it's very sturdy and looks nice. The knives do slide but not too much or I should say not enough to make me return it.

This has saved me so much counter space. And the magnet is strong. Bought one for my mom also.

This looks SO PRETTY on my counter, and it is the perfect alternative to drilling a magnetic knife rack into my new backsplash. It has a narrow profile, but is sturdy enough to stay put when you pull the knives off. For a very large knife, consider putting it towards the edge of the block and pulling it off to the side instead of straight towards you; a big knife could tip the block over when you pull it off directly.I love this, it came all assembled, is super sturdy, and for a bonus, i put my metal measuring cups on the back. NO one can see them but now they're within reach!
