This replaced a bamboo wood grinder I had for years and is a disappointment. When turning the grinder it catches and is not smooth. I was used to a nice mechanism that had a better turn. It is as if the grinder doesn’t easily handle the peppercorns. I don’t know how to describe it well, but I would buy a more expensive pepper mill in hopes that the grinding mechanism would be superior.

I had no idea a salt grinder was supposed to be this easy to use. I've always used the generic grocery store ones and this one grinds so much more and more easily. I appreciate the non-plastic as well. Thank you!

I don't know if I have a faulty grinder...the other reviews here look so positive. Regardless of whether I screw the top looser/tighter for course/fine grind, I get nothing but a little pepper dust. I've taken this thing apart and put it back together. I've removed the peppers to make sure there isn't something stuck or clogged. No dice. This product looks great! But...mine does not work. I can not recommend this product.

It's a lovely wood design. But it's small. Smaller than I expected! Very slender design. Easy to use and fill. Grinds pepper nicely. Fits in the hand nicely and 8 have "piano finegers" - might be dwarfed by larger hands. It's rather dainty feeling... I am a heavy cooker so I see myself having to constantly refill this. It would be excellent as a table pepper grinder for dinner guests or family to use. I will be ordering a bigger one but it's a nice grinder!

I definitely would have preferred something bulkier and of higher build quality. But, at the price, I guess you get what you pay for. It's fine for an entry-level pepper mill and seems like it will last a while. There does not seem to be any way to control the grind size.

The only complaint I have is the grinder seems to be put together from two different ones. The colors do not match well.But it grinds OK.

…and it works great. Easy to turn, adjustable, perfect pepper grind. We absolutely love it.
