2015 release, the debut solo album from former Evile lead guitarist Ol Drake. Old Rake features instrumental guitar encompassing a myriad of styles, including flat-out shredding, classical, progressive, melodic and acoustic. The first track, "Guitarists Playing Guitars" showcases the six-string shredder's phenomenal fretwork and features special guest appearances from the likes of Gary Holt (Exodus, Slayer), James Murphy (Death, Testament, Obituary) and Josh Middleton (Sylosis). Also featured is sticksman Mike Heller (Fear Factory, Malignancy), who performs drums on the entire album.

Simply Amazing! MUST HAVE!
Fantastic piece of work by an amazing guitarist. I've been listening to it streaming for months but wanted to support him by buying the physical CD too. Problem is, it arrived without the booklet! See attached photos of what I got vs. what I was supposed to get. Not sure who's responsible but NOT COOL. Just ordered a replacement. Keep up the great work, Mr. Drake. Anxiously awaiting your next project!

10/10 instrumental metal album.
Incredible solo album by the ex-Evile guitarist. There is much more diversity on this record so it isn't just an album of things that could be Evile songs. Strongly recommend purchasing this.

Apparently I love old landscaping tools
I was a bit bummed when I heard that Ol Drake left Evile. When I heard he was doing a solo album I new that it was going to be awesome. What I didn't know was that it would be a MASTERPIECE!
