Normally turkey jerky has kind of a weird texture, but this stuff is amazing!! Like if I didn't know any better I'd swear it was beef jerky (for me that's a good thing as I cannot have beef). Great flavor!!

So, the jerky taste is good. Very little sugar, which was what I wanted. HOWEVER, I bought the original flavor, so when I opened it and saw white pepper chunks all over it, I wasn't thrilled. I'm not a pepper fan. If I were, I would have ordered the cracked pepper flavor. So if YOU like pepper....go for it. If you detest pepper, skip it. I will eat it, but I'd enjoy it more without the added PEP!

I gave up beef some time ago, and in truth it is one of the things i find myself pining after on occasions. There are other turkey jerky products, obviously, but it is hard to find a drier consistency one. I have tried and usually like the Perky brand ones but lately they have been very moist, almost wet and i dislike that. So when I saw these, I had to try them, especially being peppered. In short, these are my new favorite.The texture and consistency is on the drier side, very reminiscent of drier beef jerky. It is not overly dry or brittle and has a great bite and mouth feel. The taste is exceptional, at least with the peppered version i tried. There is a clear black pepper taste but not overpowering or excessively salty. I will be getting more of these as well as trying the other turkey flavors. They are not the cheapest of brands, but worth every single penny.

This is amazing black pepper turkey jerky. It's really hard to find peppered turkey jerky of any kind. The few I've found tended to be soft and chewy or mixed with some additional sweet flavor that I didn't want. This is spot-on to how I want a black pepper turkey jerky to taste. The pepper is very prominent without being overpowering with sodium and sugar levels much lower than similar turkey jerky. The pieces are fairly large, but it's easy to split them - not that I don't eat half the pack at once anyway. I will be a repeat customer.

Disliked cost for a small thin serving

Sliced thin, dry but not too dry, and good chew, good balance of salty, but not too sweet and very low sugar content. Tastes more like beef than turkey to me. Not like some of the very soft mass produced turkey jerky out there with processed flavors.

Would be good, but too much SODIUM

More on the dry side and reminds me of homemade jerky. I don’t eat beef anymore and this is by far the best in terms of texture.
