Does this work with other brands? My son has a youth sized demarini and i need to replace the pads.

Nope these pads are less than an inch thick!

Is this set for sizing or for re-pad of a helmet?

I would suggest sizing. We purchased a helmet that was too big for our daughter, for her travel team, and turns out it was too large. We purchased this set and placed them in her helmet, fits nice and snug now.
