This is a great product that allows you to restore your original speakers when the foam surround has failed. I would recommend a person to watch a few videos on how to do this repair BEFORE attempting it, just to make sure you know what you are getting into. Make sure you are getting the right kit for your speakers or the new surrounds will not fit properly. In other words, do your homework first. I do not consider this a simple repair. It is all about carefully following the instructions and preparation before you apply the adhesive, and making sure you align everything before sticking it in place. Carefully removing all the old broken material and adhesive is important because if you don't do a good job, the adhesive will not have a good foundation to stick to and will likely fail. This must me done without damaging your speaker cone or voice coil. Don't hurry and do it right and you will have nicely restored, good sounding speakers at a fraction of the cost of replacing them. My old Kenwood sub woofer surround was old and so brittle it literally crumbled when you touched it. Now it is restored and looks great and sounds great.

I was searching for a replacement speaker for my Kenwood subwoofer, when I ran across this item. Never realized I could replace just the surround part. Need to follow the directions carefully which I did, takes some time and patience to get it right, and it works great now for a lot less money than replacing the entire speaker. All I needed was one, this came with 2 so now in 30 years I can replace it again if I don't expire first.

I re-foamed my Kenwood Sub a few weeks ago with these surrounds and it is working like new again! Just follow the instructions, take your time and be precise. The quality and size are identical to the original, only time will tell how long it will last. I'm glad I decided to re-foam rather than replace the entire woofer. I kinda wish they had a butyl rubber option, but I have no complaints with these.

Foam surround had good fit and adhesion but lasted for about 3 rides of listening before cracking and blowing out. Seemed thin and brittle out the box to begin with.

If you have the time and patience this can refurbish your subwoofer. Worked great for my 10" Kenwood. Straight forward instructions and all the required parts in this kit.
