Lower Back Pack - Hot

Bought one of these originally from a Sam's club. It worked great until I had a like accident with them that wasn't covered under manufacturer lifetime warranty. Looked to Amazon for a replacement and I am ok with the new one. It doesn't have as much volume inside like my original but it still does the job. For half the price of the original, you get what you get.

Minus-5 stars would be a more accurate rating. We had this product stored in its original box, in a cool, dry closet, for about six months prior to trying it the first time. After we activated the heat, it leaked and ruined a pillow and a sweater. Had to throw all 3 things out, so it was not only a waste of money, it ruined other items that needed to be replaced and it greatly increased pain and discomfort it was intended to relieve.

This was advertised as soma care product, but when I received it, it did not have the soma care brand on it. A little disappointed, but seems to work the same as my other soma care hot packs.

I did not know you have to boil them every time after you use them to get them back to their original state. Not convenient at all .

I read some of the reviews from others - most from 2016. While i agree that the biggest inconvenience is having to boil the heat packs after each use, I dont find it to be such a discouraging feature of the process. They provide soothing heat that's better than a heating pad. It lasts for about an hour. Unlike heating pads you can fall asleep using a heat pack.But, you do have to use the cloth bag when you boil. I do and boil for about 15 minutes. If you boil but not long enough you will get a situation where the liquid inside turns solid which means you have to boil again. Just make sure you boil long enough. Usually 15 minutes of boiling does the trick.I use them 2-3 times a day depending on my activity level and how i"m feeling. They really do help. I've had the system for about 2 years. Got it from Sam's like some of the other reviewers listed here. Can get additional or replacement ones online. My 2 cents.

I would give this company negative stars if I could. I purchased the products after an impressive demonstration at a local store. After getting home and opening up my product I am sad to say that the heat does not last and you have to boil them between every use. That alone is extremely time consuming and make the product worthless.

Purchased this as part of a special package deal at Sam's Club. I really like these. I have had them for about 3 weeks and have used them several times. Great for easing aches and pains. I have seen some reviews of people saying that they are hard to reactivate and messy. I have had no problems with this. I think people think you have to boil these on high for the whole 20 minutes this is not true. Bring the water to a boil on high and place the pack wrapped in hand towel in water reduce heat to medium low or 3.5 if you have a digital stove like mine and cover pot. It will continue to boil at this level without boiling over (make sure it is fully covered in water) Then leave it for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes remove from water with tongs and place on heat resistant surface (I use a cookie sheet). This is important also let it cool to room temp before moving. I have no problem reactivating it this way. Reactivates easy and with no mess. Would have given it 5 stars but it only stays hot for about 45 to 50 minutes instead of the 1 hour it claims. Wish it would stay hot longer but I still like them.

This product is worthless, takes to much to reactivate and 1 pack I purchased leaked cr /ystals...the shoulder pack disc broke and never activated. The first pack is being replaced however I am being charged shipping and handling if I want any other faulty product replaced.
