I decided to take all the preventative measures to save my phone. I bought this life proof case ALONG with the floating wrist strap. I spent a little more money SPECIFICALLY for the floatation device and IT DID NOT WORK. When you test the strap it works, but when you put the phone in, it doesn't! The first second my phone hit the water, it sunk straight down to the bottom of the ocean. My Iphone 11 pro max is GONE. Now, I have wasted the money on this case AND I had to buy another $1500 phone. If you want your phone to float, DO NOT BUY THIS CASE. I don't know why they would say its for an Iphone 11 pro max if it can't support the weight of an Iphone. Just trying to give the best warning I can!!!

I wish I would have had a camera handy to take a picture of this case and the seal once I placed my iPhone 11 Pro Max inside. My iPhone was the only camera avail and could not take a picture of how much water got inside this “waterproof case” . It passed the 30 minutes napkins dry test. So I was optimistic. Once I inserted my iPhone 11 Pro Max in, I realized I could see the iPhone’s body exposed on one of the sides. I pressed the edges and also pushed case against a flat surfaced and applied pressured into the case edges to keep tight. Set timer to 30 min. Placed phone in bowl less than 12 inches deep. Saw case edges coming apart and water flowing in. Did not wait for timer to complete since my phone already getting wet and camera disconnected. Made several test to make sure it was not me overlooking instructions. The more you remove the case the less adhesive it gets to tight the case. Maybe once under 30 f it gets tight, but then your phone is already full of water and camera totally Unresponsived. Advised, get this case if you are not intended to be submerged over than 12 inches of water and over 10 min. Your IPhone 11 Pro Max does better water resistant without case and last deeper and longer and functional without the case. Buy this case only to blow your money away.

The media could not be loaded.  I read all the reviews before purchasing, I was hesitant because they’re was quite a few bad reviews of leaking, not being able to use the touchscreen and sand getting inside the case. I’m so glad I purchased this case! Not once did it leak (it was in the water a lot over our 5 day vaca), touch screen worked great all the time including in the water. The pics and videos turned out very clear as well as the sound on videos! The hand straps it’s comes with are great too, loved the floating one for the ocean.

I’d love to add some photos to this review…but unfortunately the photos, and my $1200 phone, are at the bottom of a lake. I bought this because the strap was supposed to float. And it did when I tested it in the sink as recommended. But unless you plan on enjoying a dip in perfectly still sink water, this thing is totally worthless. I was paddle boarding and had the strap around my wrist, and as can happen when paddle boarding, I fell in. The strap came off my wrist as I flailed about trying to save my drink and my dignity, but not to worry, it’s supposed to float…right? Nope. Thankfully the strap is bright orange so I was able to watch it while it descended into the depths of the lake, like Rose from Titanic watching Jacks hands descending into Ocean. As I’m crying “come back, come back!” I had to come to the tragic realization that my phone…like Jack…was gone. And like Rose, the only memories I have of that day are those in my mind. Because, I don’t know if you picked up on this, all the photos that were taken are now at the bottom of the lake. Did I mention this doesn’t float? Consider yourself warned.

This will NOT keep the iPhone afloat. The description says “floating strap” but with an iPhone attached it sinks and fast. So totally useless. Again it will sink!!!!If you just use the strap with NO iPhone it will float. But with a phone it does not have enough buoyancy to float.A total lie / misrepresentation in advertising.The case is fine and kept phone dry and easy to use. Can use touch screen with a bit more effort than normal. But since new phones are water resistant - it does not add much.DO NOT BUY if you want to have a case / strap combo that floats.

Works as advertised. Used in the Caribbean under water while snorkeling. The only thing I noticed was slightly concerned about, after I did the water test for 1/2 hour the case was dry inside but when o inserted my IPhone 11 Pro Max the case seam didn’t appear to close as well as it did with the phone not in the case. Meaning the seam had a slight gap in areas but it still appeared to be waterproof. I tried to reseat the phone a few times to see if that would help but the seams were still not as close as they were. The only complaint is the glossy screen protector makes it difficult to see the phone screen in the sun due to the reflection of the protector. Nice corner protectors. The sound is not noticeable affected by the case.One other issue is the phone itself is heavy enough that the float provided does not keep the phone afloat. I had to use my other float with the one provided to keep the phone from sinking to the ocean floor.

I was very careful to insure the case was fully sealed. However, it leaked. Also, while underwater and the phone still on, the pressure on the phone face did not allow the phone to change screens and activate the camera. So, no photos on that dive. When I got to the surface the phone still worked but it would not charge. I took it to an Apple store and they had to replace the phone ($107 deductible). Fortunately, I had Apple Care and had my data backed up on icloud. So, I do not recommend this case and if you are going to use your phone underwater I suggest getting a much more substantial case.

I purchased this because I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on a lifeproof case. Aside from hearing issues while on calls ( lifeproof case does this as well). Honestly a great product for the price point. It was sturdy and it worked great underwater while snorkeling. As with any waterproof case, Just always make sure to check that the seals around case are secured before diving in! I’ve learned this the hard way, even with an expensive one.Also bonus points for the wrist straps and floating strap

Fantastic product.Great construction and fits perfect.Touch screen has marbling, but it was expected for a phone case with a built in screen protector.I bought it for dust and scratch prevention.Also coolest feature is the flotation device and 3 wristlets and replacement membranes for the silence button

I dropped my phone in a lake and all the foam did was slow the time it took to sink. You would think if it's made for a particular phone, it would float with that phone installed. However after 1/2 an hour in 15 feet of water at the bottom of the lake the phone still worked. That's why i scored 1 star.
