Greetings!Back mid 2020, my original LG battery was starting to act up, dropping slightly in performance and just beginning to bloat up. By October 2020, it had dropped quite a bit in performance and the bulging was progressively continuing, so much so that it made the phone screen's bulge noticeably, hence I needed a replacement direly. I live overseas and the local market was out of stock, and OEMs were outrageously priced when they had them, so I ended up purchasing this GD Power battery mid October 2020 and smack dab in the middle of lockdown. It has been in my LG G5 phone since 01 DEC 2020 and so far is running fine.I came back a few times here looking to purchase a couple more to replace the wife's and in-laws' dying batteries but, apparently, they are no longer available. I hope they bring them back because they were a good value cost-vs-benefit-wise experience in my case.As for the battery itself, so far it holds a charge just fine and there is no noticeable drop in performance that I can see. It's running the same as the day it was installed. Charging time is fine with either a 2.4A or a 3.1A wall or car chargers. 12+ months of top, just-like-oem performance so far so I’m a happy camper… would’ve recommended it.Additionally, and FYI, I've had family and friends who’ve bought other aftermarket batteries for their G5 phones, even more expensive ones, but they don't last more than a few months, or just don't work, ever, giving the dreaded "invalid battery" message on their phones right from the start, or even after they’ve been working for a short while. This one has thankfully never done that, so it communicates well with the phone’s charging board and makes good contact with the charging pins inside.Hope that helps!Cheers!

My original LG G5 battery was weak and only lasting a couple of hours. Replaced with this battery and now can go all day without a charge. It is an easy couple of minutes to replace the battery. Check out Youtube for directions. My phone has new life at a very reasonable price. When I first installed the battery the first charge did not last very long but after letting the battery run down completely and doing a recharge to full it has been working perfectly. This rating is based on having the new battery in for only a couple of days so I can not attest to battery life over the long haul. So far so good.

I replaced two 3 year old OEM's with these in both mines and my girlfriend's phones and they work perfectly. They are lithium ions so I suggest following the directions in the description if you're not aware of the particulars of such. Especially before jumping on here to sound and look like a 5 year old struggling to find the brain power to walk down the street. It's NOT a good look.

This battery works well in my LG G5. The original battery used to heart attack at like 40% battery life. The new one works perfect.

I cannot honestly speak to the battery life in this review. I bought this to replace an original battery for my LG G5 phone. My phone was 100% functioning and I had used it for the past 4-5 years. However, the battery had been running out about half way through the day so, I was hoping the new battery would provide more phone usage before needing a charge. The same day I inserted the new battery, my phone stopped working. Even though the screen lights up and says 100% upon plugging in the charger with the new battery, the phone will not turn on. No one at Verizon could figure out why the phone won't turn on. I had to purchase a new phone. I am VERY unhappy with this purchase and would caution anyone about buying this..

This battery never had the rated capacity, only tested up to 2520 mAH capacity to begin with. Broke it in properly, by first charging it completely, letting it run down to about 15 percent, recharging it fully, and repeated 3 times. However, it still won't hold a charge for more than several hours, and if not put on a charger overnight, it will usually be dead (turned itself off when under 10 percent left) by morning. Disappointing. I suggest getting a real LG made battery instead. They usually start with a 2800 mAH capacity, at least. Unfortunate purchase.
