These arrived yesterday so I haven't had a chance to use them yet. That said, they are sturdy and I'm sure will be serviceable. Two points, though: first, the handles are definitely not long enough to be safe to use on a barbecue or other open flame. Second, the tongs are not hinged and are difficult for a woman to hold in the closed position for any length of time, both because of their size and because of the stiffness of the metal. This isn't really a complaint, but rather, an observation in that it affects how I will use the tongs.

These are lightweight tongs but have held up very well. I have washed them in the dishwasher and use them very often and must say they look the same as the day I got them.I am happy with my purchase.

Had so many of the PLASTIC salad tongs, and they did not last. I purchased this to go in salads for family gatherings, parties, etc. I am very well satisfied and am thinking of ordering a second set. My only "negative", they were shorter than anticipated. I should have paid attention to the dimensions, but it still was a practical purchase for the price, and I don't have any hesitation in recommending this set.

Didn't like these items as much as I thought I would. I have only use them once.:(

great tongs, perfect size and look a lot more expensive than what I paid for. the one piece design suggests that they will last for a long time
