Horimiya, Vol. 6
C**.
Didn’t hold my attention as much as the previous volumes
It’s been a while since I read the previous volume so maybe that’s why I had trouble getting back into it.We see more of Miyamuras past, as well as a big confidence boost later on, Hori bugged me a little, getting jealous over someone calling Miyamuras phone assuming it was another girl instead of just asking.Might try re reading this whole series to see if I can get back into it, such a shame as I’ve loved every volume so far.

Love it
~4.5/5(May contain spoilers.)There's a lot of side-character interactions in this volume. We get to see the romantic drama around Tooru, as there are two girls who like him and neither will tell him. I really liked seeing Yuki's reactions, the way she stayed quiet even when she didn't like it. I understand her, in a sad way.We also got to see a bit of Sengoku and Remi, and we see that they have quite an interesting relationship—they work in an odd way, taking care of each other. Then there are all of the Hori and Miyamura moments. We see Hori reacting to Miyamura's hair growing longer again, and we see her attempting to act girly because he hates horror movies even though she loves them. We get a fun scene where Souta's friends mistake them for his parents. The best moments, though, are when they have a quiet, sexy little scene together. And when Miyamura is confronted by his school bullies, and Hori gets supremely protective and violent. That's fantastic. I do kind of wish we got to see more of those scenes, though, instead of just the before and the aftermath.Pretty much, I am obsessed with this series. I love it and can not get enough.[More of my reviews are available on my blog, Geeky Reading, to which there's a link on my profile.]

Yaaaay! Format and pacing issues fixed!
The change in format last issue settles down in this one. There are still some little vingettes here and there, but the whole volume doesn't feel like that anymore. We have some nice fluffiness again too, though the comedy is definitely taking center stage more. Looks like it might stay that way from now on. What I really want to know is how we went from 1st to 3rd year in 3 volumes, and now we've been in 3rd year for 4 volumes LOLOLOL oh well, the story is still going strong.

They seal the deal.
This volume in the Horimiya series was simply spectacular. Chapter 37 in particular has a beautiful and touching narrative where Hori and Izumi finally climb the ladder to adulthood. Tasteful and heart touching, it's simply a great story of coming of age and young love.
