GG 2000# Cast Master Smelting Gold Silver Scrap Refining Casting Furnace

Worked ok for a while but now is not working. I haven’t been able to get help from the seller TRANQUILITY 2.0? There is no way to contact them. So if you can help me please email me. I was melting 24kt gold at higher temperatures so I had it set close to the 2000 degree temperature. When I looked again it was at over 2k and then it stopped working. I had it set for 1945 degrees.

I have not had the opportunitty to smelt with this furnace yet, but I will tomorrow, The build quality is exceptionally good,and the control unit is quite simply the core of this device, I did a significant burn in test to get an idea on 1) time to reach target temp. 2)Heat radiating from stove at a high temperature. 3) Did I feel safe while using this device. A drum roll please.....#1 above average actually a little better #2 the general vicinity quite near the furnace some heat dissipation was observed, Remember you are in a very near vicinity of rapid heat producing molten metal, there were no unusual anomalies. and in my opinion above the bar. #3) Yes I Did. the This is attributed to the control feature packed PID control unit.the basic pre set target temperatures follow the pre set parameters with attention to accuracy amazingly well., I did not receive a users manual with mine, but would love to get one please, because I feel this Furnace will work well beyond the automated use available, I actually feel like my small lap and melt shop just got bigger. For the price, this oven did NOT live up to its advertisement. Never gets hot enough, I was very disappointed.

My foundry broke, but it can be fixed!Step 0 - Check the fuse.Step 1 - Fix it.My heating coils went bad, I got in touch with the seller and he gave me this info:----The 110v unit has two 16 Ohm heating wires in parallel.This equals 8 Ohms across the 110V.This allows 13.75 Amp current.Which brings the power consumption to roughly 1500 Watt.This calculation is based on my testing. I think is accurate, butRemember the length of the two wires i very important.----The wire is 17 gauge Nichrome wire.17 gauge nichrome wire has a resistance of ~ .33 ohms / foot. This means you will need ~50 feet of wire per coilI decided to use 18ga kanthal A1 wire, it has a resistance of 0.52 / foot, that means I need only 30 feet of wire to make a element, my reasoning is wider spaced turns so the won't short out as easily.To get the old elements out, take off the very bottom cover and unscrew the terminals that connect to the coils.Next, remove the top cover, there are 3 screws. It helps to loosen the top two screws on the 'spine' holding the lid.Wear gloves - ceramic fiber insulation is nasty. I doubt this is the biodegradable kind.. better wear a mask also.Remove the hard ceramic ring on top. The hard ceramic cup with the holes and heating wires should just slide out. Do not remove the hard ceramic holding back insulation.remove the old wires, Roll up your new elements, and insert them. good as new!

On time but think element shorted second time i used ,hopefully IT was an isolated incident and just bad luck for me ...had to return IT. ...bummer!

Heated quickly & was easy to use. Directions could benefit from being updated & more in depth. Used 6 times & it stopped heating. The refund was quick & easy which I appreciated through Amazon.

Just got mine the other day this is an awesome product easy to use instructions were easy to understand I have already made a few ingots and am in the process of making more as I write this review there are some questions of this can melt copper or not I am here to tell you you can I am doing it right now it works perfectly I recommend this to anyone looking for one of these well worth the investment
