We wanted something to store and hide shoes in by our front door. This did the trick.Pros:1) Solid wood (not sure what kind but it is)2) Nice finish, nice hardware,3) Well made, overall a nice piece of assemble-yourself furniture4) Instructions were well laid out and relatively easy to follow.5) Excellently packed to prevent damage in transit.6) It’s a nice-looking piece of furniture and a good price.Cons:1) If you are not handy with hand tools, this kind of furniture isn't for you. There are lots of parts and they take some time to assemble. There is just enough ambiguity in the picture instructions to allow someone to assemble some parts backward and thus have to disassemble and reassemble correctly. It's not a big deal really but an annoyance. I am great at this kind of thing and still, it took me upwards of 3 hours to put this together I needed help with parts of it because, without 4 arms, you can't always screw things together while holding them in place.2) If you have LARGE shoes, such as boots or ankle highs, they aren't likely going to fit in this as designed. You can remove one of the separators on one of the tilt-out doors and it may fit large shoes better, but it will then hold fewer shoes overall.3) Its shallow depth and light weight make it a tipping hazard. If a kid climbed on it or if you opened all drawers at the same time, it could tip forward without some sort of anchoring. They give you hardware to address this but that requires attaching it to the wall which were loath to do. I may design some sort of removable anchor so we can move it to clean under it from time to time but for now, we will just be careful with it. Along this line, the design only permits the storage drawer to open halfway which makes it a bit useless. We chose this design item specifically for the drawer to store dog leashes and other such things. I was able to change how the drawer stop worked so that the drawer could open about ¾ way and still not fall out - this addressed that deficiency.Overall – Happy with the purchase – looks good and served the function for which it was purchased.

Liked the look and easy to assemble. The build was solid. No laminate flake board on tops, bottom etc. Drawers are ok and a little smaller but enough for needs. I'm using it as a liquor cabinet and it holds what I need.

Overall this is a nice bookcase. But there were enough flaws and difficulty in assembly that keep it from getting 5 stars. These are way better than that blue and yellow Sweedish international furniture store. These are solid wood and weight about 100 lbs. I bought two of these. The first one went together pretty well. But the second one has issues with 2 of the 3 doors. One is apparently too small leaving a large gap on the one side of the frame. The other door is too large, and does not close cleanly. what is annoying is that there is really no adjustments on these hinges. Plus the one door's pilot holes were made about 1/4" too deep. I had to re-drill the holes in the proper place to get a better fit. There is a lot of tedious "screwing" and turning of fasteners that gets hard on the wrists, knees and back. I will give them 5 Stars for their packaging and protecting the individual pieces in transit. Also perfect on the hardware, with a bag of extra fasteners in case you lose something. Everything was nicely labeled, but there was some inconsistencies between the two bookcases and the directions. If you are a real stickler for perfection, these might not be for you.

Looks great in picture, however I should have read other reviews before buying. Very hard to assemble and I have put together a lot of furniture in my life. Nothinf=g more difficult. Holes don't lign up right, magnetdoor holders dont fit right, had to drill holes for back , drawers dont lock to hold from falling out and make sure you assemble on cloth because wood scratches very easily. do not recommend this product. also the dimensions for storage are not right, can barely fit some of my books.

My husband the engineer was very impressed with the construction and the precision of the manufacturing points which made putting this together relatively easy. It helps to have some experience with DIY assembly so that you don't make false starts and risk stripping out the starter holes or the screws. All the hardware is very good quality as well. The piece is heavy, levelled out readily and gave us a very good looking cabinet that I use for cookbooks and small appliances used less often like the slow cooker and instapot (no longer on top of the counter!) When installing the doors we found it helpful to stack up books to a level even with bottom of the cabinet and rest the doors upright on those while attaching doors to hinges. Use the suggestions in the instructions rather than trying to shortcut anything, makes it go together perfectly. We are buying 2 more pieces made by this company.
