I love Flensted mobiles, I bought one a few years ago for our house and when we were expecting a baby I immediately knew I'd want one of these for the nursery (and not some froo-froo baby mobile). Plus babies only see in black & white at first so this was perfect! Our nursery is a little funkier than "the norm" I suppose, but we hung this over the crib until we started sleep training. We've since moved it to her bathroom so it wasn't a distraction. But she still loves to go in the bathroom and look at it, grab for it, watch it spin around.The quality is great, the sheep are made of plastic. But it is a delicate mobile, so one fast-enough grab from baby hands and there is potential for damage. I actually consider these to be art and I hope they are in our house for a long time (we have 3!).

This mobile is so delicate and beautiful. It's not for everyone, as it's not motorized, doesn't play music, etc, etc, but if you're a modern art lover, you'll adore this. It moves beautifully in the wind, and even just when someone walks past the crib. It mounted just fine on our mobile "arm", but as baby grows I can tell we'll have to hang it from the ceiling to keep it out of his reach.

Beautiful, simple and whimsical. I have a small reading nook in my daughters room and I hung this above our bookshelves where it catches the air from the window. After we read she lays back in my arms and watches the little sheep spin and float. It's so simple yet so pretty. The movement is amazing and it never tangled up. I gift this at every baby shower I attend.

**10 1/2year update**.Once the kids outgrew them we moved them to our dining room because they are still wonderful and we continue to enjoy them.We purchased this mobile along with another Flensted mobile for our twins' bedroom. Other reviewers of these mobiles made comments about them being just paper and not worth the money. Yes they are very thin, but the sheep are made out of a coated paper or some type of thin plastic, and no one should be touching them anyway so they should hold up just fine. Being so thin allows them to move beautifully in the air--they also are really well balanced. They are so much nicer than the clunky, standard crib-mounted mobiles we had at first; those not only scratched up our crib, but they didn't spin well, had to be turned on to move, and once our children could reach them were worthless. The design of the mobile is nice, each sheep is hanging from their own string, balanced across the bar from another. When the fan is on and the sheep are moving it's neat to watch and imagine them out in a meadow someplace doing sheepy things. Being ceiling mounted they can be hung and enjoyed indefinately. Regarding the price, we had a gift card that we used, otherwise we never would have spent this much on mobiles, but after hanging them I can say that they are worth it and I enjoy watching them as I sit in their room.

Very cute mobile. I use these in my 6 month old daughter's nursery. The sheep are more for decoration then her entertainment. The Flensted Sheep hang in the top shelf of a colorful bookcase and catch everyone's attention as they enter the room. Because they are so light weight and the wire is so thin, the sheep catch the tiniest air currents. Blowing at them from 5 or 6 feet away will set the whole mobile in motion.Even though my daughter isn't interested in the mobile yet, our 2 year old neighbor couldn't take his eyes off of it. I put the Wimmer-Ferguson Infant Stim-Mobile above her crib.

Was not at all what I was expecting. Quite small and flimsy. Got a mobile from pottery barn instead.

We added this mobile to our baby registry and were so happy to receive it as a gift for baby. It has a great modern and artistic design that is simply fun to look at, even as adults. Before baby was born, it hung above our dining room table, entertaining us and our dinner guests. Now that baby is here, we have the mobile hanging above his crib and at 8 weeks old, our son loves to stare up at the floating sheep.Esposo FamilySeattle WA

The quality is high, it is simple but do not mistake that for cheap. It is made well and built to last. Very delicate, so be patient when taking out of the packaging. A cute and modern edition to the nursery.
