Please give instructions on how to use this!

The directions are on the front. Add kieselsol (packet D1) to carboy (3.8 USG/4L) of wine, etc. Stir gently. Dissolve chitosan (packet D2) in 1 fl. oz./30mL of warm water. Add to carboy of wine, alcohol mash, etc. Stir gently. Attach airlock/bung. Clears wine, etc. brilliantly in 12-48 hours. May not clear pectin haze or products made with hard water.

the description states this will clear a 5 gallon batch, do you have to reduce the amounts used for smaller batches or is it ok to use the entire pack

Thanks for asking. In general, simply follow the recommended dose and use a partial pack for any volume less than 5 gallons and discard the rest.

Is it normal for white foam to form at the top after adding first packet?

Yes. Later, a layer of goo the consistency of snot will form on the top. In total disgust, you will scrape that out , while trying not to gag. After the whole process, your alcohol will still be cloudy, at which time, you will want to order sparkloid.

Will this fining kill yeast, prohibiting bottle conditioning for sparkling mead?

When I make sparkling mead I create a primer which is 500ml of finished mead, honey, dap and yeast. (honey/dap amount depend on what level of carbonation). Day ahead of bottling I'll create the primer. The primer should have completed primary fermentation by bottling time. I'll then transfer from carboy to bottling container (I used a 30l primary fermenter) and thoroughly mix in the primer. Then bottle. I've found this process works very well, usually takes 3+ months to fully condition..

Description

1 X Super Kleer Kc Finings : desertcart.in: Sports, Fitness & Outdoors Review: Works FAST - I use a conical fermenter and pectin enzyme so most of the gross lees fall out during primary. I’ve always used benonite for clarifying but wanted to trust something different this time. I was degassing so I went ahead and added the Super-Klee and I just have to say WOW. There was a small amount of lees in the carboy so so figured since I was going to be disturbing it I might as well try it. in 24hrs double the amount of lees has fallen out of solution. This stuff was clear to begin with, now it’s CLEAR. I would absolutely recommend Super-Kleer to anyone. Review: ordered to much - made a error when i ordered so i will have a lot for a long time

Best finings EVER!

As a beer maker and mead maker, there just isn't anything that clears a batch as quickly and as well as this stuff. I first tried it on one gallon of mead that wasn't clearing on its own and was flabbergasted at how it was dramatically clearer in literally hours. After 4 days I didn't see the need to continue waiting and racked off almost polished mead. This stuff will save you money if you filter especially making for less clogs. Don't even think about it if you want clear beer mead or wine. Get this stuff and prepare to be amazed!
