I purchased this little clock for my desk, next to where I work. My office decor is turn of the century, so many items have an older look. When I received this clock, I thought, wow... this looks great! It looks very authentic, like it was made 100 years ago. After maybe a month, it stopped working, so I purchased a new set of batteries.Some stated that the battery is not replaceable. I was able to remove the back, with some effort--it unscrews by turning counter clockwise. When I opened it, the battery was there. It uses an SR626SW watch battery. The battery is held in place with a little dab of silicone-like glue. It pops out easy enough with the help of a jeweler's screwdriver. I put the new battery in and no go! The clock doesn't work. All this time, I thought the battery died. Nope... The clock just gave up the ghost!Or perhaps people are right and the battery isn't replaceable.As a test, I took the replacement battery and tried it in my son's watch, since it uses the same battery. It works fine, so I know it's not the battery.So the clock went in the trash, and I just bought a different desk clock through Amazon to replace it.Purchase at your own risk! It's a nice little clock, if it works. If you do buy it, when replacing the battery, you'll need to get some kind of adhesive to dab in the battery area to hold it in place. Without an adhesive, it naturally wants to pop out of position after it's installed.

When I was looking for this clock, I noted it was 5.1". My mistake was assuming this was the size of the face. It is the height of the clock. The face is about 1 1/2 inches! It's okay and looks like the pictures, but it is very small. Not worth what I paid. If it was $12.95 I'd feel good. Avoid unless you want a very small clock!
