Don't be alarmed by the color
I am a natural redhead with very light eyebrows, so I've been tinting my eyebrows for years. This was the first time I tried this brand so I wasn't sure what to expect. First, I was pleasantly surprised to find the tint came with a full bottle of developer. Now I don't mind that I paid a little more for a this, but I wouldn't have ordered a separate developer had I known. When you add the developer to the cream tint, it stars to change color very quickly. It also becomes very dark purple - almost black. This was alarming to me because the tint I've used for years turns the Auburn shade of looks like when finished processing.I thought that I may have been sent the wrong shade, so I double checked the box and tube, but both said Auburn. Then before doing anything else, I looked up the reviews and was glad to see others say it does turn purple but after application, will look the correct color.Still a bit weary, but knowing this can be the case with some red hair dyes, I applied the tint to my brows.I left it on for ten minutes, then wiped off with a wet cotton round.I am happy to report my brows ate the perfect shade to go with my hair. Natural looking, too. I am very pleased with the results and I am considering ordering my other tints from this company in the future. I use a blue black on my nearly blonde eyelashes and I also use brow on most of my client's brows. (I am an esthetician that offers lash and brow tinting as a service.)

Orange not Auburn
Color is too orange. I am a natural redhead and typically use auburn eye brow pencils and powders for my eyebrows. My eye brows are naturally blonde to where they are not noticeable. Almost white I guess. Well I figured I would try this semi permanent tint to do my eyebrows with so I wouldnt have to pencil them in every day. Well big mistake. I followed the directions and they turned out orange. I even redid them thinking maybe it would darken them up but they ended up brighter. I had to order a different brand for blondes to turn them a light brown. I feel like if this color was mixed with a light brown in the same brand, it might work if you are a natural redhead. But amazon did not have light brown in stock unfortunately for me to try it. This color would be good for an oragnish red box hair dye or bright red dye. But not for a natural redhead in my personal opinion.

Great for dyed redheads!
Great product. did the job, looked natural and didn't sting, stink or anything else undesirable! I applied w an orange stick and it came out PERFECTLY. it didn't seem to dye my skin, but i was very precise so i can't really tell. They tell you to use much more of this stuff than you really need, just a dab of each (keep that ratio tho! 2:1 = more cream than peroxide) will do you! 5 minutes and success! I'm a very fair natural dirty strawberry blonde w super light eyebrows and much brighter dyed copper/red hair. I usually pencil my brows in with a great red/brown lipliner from wet and wild (seriously, guys try this, it's a dollar and its my Holy Grail of eyebrow products)then finish off with a brown powder on an angled brush and some eyebrow wax. yeah it's a lot but i am a total freak about eyebrows and mine are almost not there. people compliment me on my 'perfect brows' all the time, it really looks natural! but I'm sick of all that work to be people-ready just to be exposed when my face gets wet! using this has made me confident to walk out the door without ANY makeup (yep i dyed my lashed black, so no mascara!)and i don't want to live without it now!Has anyone tried mixing this with a brown to see darker but also natural looking results?

Disappointed
I was looking forward to matching my brows to my red hair, but when I opened the package, the product appeared to be black dye and it wouldn't mix with the developer. I forged ahead and tried to apply to brows, but the mixture was blotchy. I've been dyeing my eyebrows since the late 60's, so I'm familiar with the process. The product was so awful that I had to immediately remove it and try to smooth out my brows to go to work. Obviously, I was disappointed. I just threw the entire kit away. I paid full price, but the product I received appeared to have been on a shelf somewhere way too long prior to shipping.

Works very well, easy to use, and results are great for this (otherwise) Strawberry Blond
I had been dying my hair for a long time with chemical dyes - always some shade of auburn. When I am done with coloring my hair, I would use some of the remaining dye to color my eyebrows so they would match my hair color. There were 2 problems with this approach; 1 sometimes I'd have brows that would look, well, .....dyed -- and you'd find yourself wanting to stay home for a few days for the color to normalize 2) sometimes your brows need a slightly different dying schedule (more frequent) than your hair and you can't really open a full hair-dye-package just to do your eyebrows, can you?!?. But all this was all manageable and mostly worked. Then, I switched to Sante herbal hair ( Sante Herbal Hair Color - Mahogany - 3.5 oz ) because all those chemicals can really take a toll you and your hair. I tried my same technique for eyebrow dying and, though I really like what the color does for my hair, found my eyebrows would be orange for a few days until the color settled - then it would look great. But who has 4 days of not being seen until the color settles???? Then I found this stuff. So, now on to Tintocil -- The cream is very easy to mix with the peroxide in a 2 to 1 ratio on a glass plate or bowl and you only need a small bit to cover both eyebrows. Use Vaseline around the eyebrow to minimize any mess. Apply with a brush, a Q-tip, or even your finger (wash off immediately and there is very little staining). The mixture is rather thick and "clingy" so after fiddling around with a brush, I just went and used my finger tip to rub into the area.Wait for about 15 or 20 minuets and then your can easily wipe off with a wet towel or rag. The results are way more natural than either of the two approaches mentioned above! So, it is easy to apply, comes in a package that allows mixing up a batch whenever it is needed, and the color really looks great and, fortunately for me, matches the Sante Mahogany Red I use for my hair.
