These look great in the package, but they don't deliver much color, and get hair so tangly that you have to wash and use a ton of conditioner to get through the tangles. My daughter has blonde hair, so the colors should have shown up more, but they were pretty faint and no where near the brightness/saturation of the product photos.

My daughter begged for this and loves it. It’s easy to use and washes out just fine.

Many colors have been too light to show up, and it is not so easy to apply. The colors leave the hair greasy and sticky.

My 6 year old daughter loves these. Lots of other reviews said it's waxy and, yeah, it kind of is, but what do you expect? That's essentially what it is--colored wax. Her hair is blond and it's easy to see in her hair. I don't know how it would look on darker hair. It washed out easily with shampoo, though was a little harder to wash out of my son's hair (I think because it's short and I was probably just coloring on his scalp).Tip: I took a section of her hair and put cardboard under it and then colored (kind of like they do at a hair salon when highlighting hair) and it made it a lot easier.

My daughter was super excited to receive these for Christmas. Quite honestly so was I. Even I'd like to add a strip of color here and there without permanent repercussion. Unfortunately, the product is of poor quality. Here are the problems: Misrepresentation. My daughter has blonde hair, and the colors fail to really show. I have platinum color so it's a bit easier to get them visible, but not by much. The girls pictured on the box look like they're simply drawing on the color with ease. Not true to reality. You literally have to hold the strand of hair in between your fingers and the tip of the pen, and go back and forth with a good degree of pressure to be able to apply it. The colors dilute, meaning the lighter ones will never be visible. Good thing it came with darker versions of most colors. In addition, this is not chalk. Whatsoever. We've had hair chalks before and although the color was great, it failed by staining everything it touched. I thought these would be a much better option, they're not. They're greasy. Meaning when you add a strip, your hair looks dirty / wet and stays that way.

My daughter is mixed and has fairly dark hair. She's 7 and really wanted to color her hair so I purchased these. Some of the colors are hard to see in her hair we had to go over and over and push kinda hard to get most of the colors to show. It makes her hair look kinda greasy on top considering that's the only place to really get it to show since we have to go over the lines several times. She loves it though! We never got it on clothes or sheets as she doesn't usually have it in long so I'm not sure how well it'll wash out of fabric but it washes out of her hair very easily!
