I absolutely love this product. It is fairly safe for humans and pets. I just try to avoid accessing the water with animals for a week. That’s probably overkill, but I’d rather be safe than sorry. I have a 1 acre pond and I use it to keep the algae and weeds down. I treat my pond probably three times during the summer summertime sometimes four and then I use the pond eye to keep the allergy from continuing to bloom. I also use this product around my house where I don’t want grass growing or to keep weeds down and along the trail and out to my cabana great product the cost is reasonable and it’s very easy to use. I use a third of a jug with 25 gallons of water and spray my entire pond with it and I use it on the cat tails and all the weeds on the edge of the pond and it kills all of them. We used it in our rock area in the front of the house to keep the grass from growing, which is where we have our son shares. This product makes our pond extremely clear even though it is not spring fed. If you have a pond and want to keep the edge weed free and the weed growth in the water to a minimum so you can fish it, use this product. Follow the instructions to ensure you don’t kill your fish off. Have yet to kill any using it on my property. Kills grass and keeps it gone for a couple of months.

We live on a 2,000 acre lake in North Central Florida. Our property has a 600 ft long, 40 ft wide private canal that leads into the lake. During the first part of this year, we experienced a drought that caused the lake level to drop with evaporation. This was the lowest we have seen the water. The low level of the water in the canal spurred crazy growth of weeds its entire length. It was mess that we were concerned as to whether we were going to have to hire a crew to manually remove these massive aquatic weeds of all types in this area. In early June, our rainy season kicked in and within a month, the lake was close to normal level and we had a completely unnavigible canal, that was choked with weeds. No way we were getting our boats out. A few years ago, we had a similar, but not as extreme problem. We tried several herbicides and weed killers that were safe for fish and wildlife and never got anything to kill the weeds back enough to remove them easily. We ended up having to hire a $7,500 crew to manually remove them. This year, we made it a quest to find something that would truly kill off all types of weeds in our canal in a rapid manner. After spending literally hours, reading literature, speaking with our few neighbors, reading reviews to see what's out there REALLY does, and viewing countless videos, we settled on a product that we have never used before, nor had we heard of called TSUNAMI DQ. We mixed as directed and applied it to the entire surface of our canal as well as the weeds themselves with 2 powered Backpack Sprayers. The results were astonishing! Within 24 hours of application, Lilly Pads, Maidencane and other weeds were already brown on exposed parts. Within 5 days, 80% of the weeds, even the tough ones, were brown and dead. Today, we are putting one last coat on the entire canal, wait a week, then drop muck tablets all over the bottom because it's definitely going to need them. This is, by far, the most effective product of its type we have ever used. I don't say this lightly. We have tried just about everything over the years and nothing else that we have tried compares. I use this primarily for duck weed and works great. depending on your infestation, it may take a couple applications. I apply by broadcast.

Mixing instructions were not as clear as they could be for smaller applications. Instructions talked about surface area, depth of the water. All I was trying to do was to kill pond grass growing around the edges of my pond before it got out of hand, not the whole pond. Product was mixed in a 15gal sprayer to allow it to be sprayed over the grass. I ended up using about 11 ounces of this product along with about 3 ounces of surfactant and water. It has now been a week since the application. The pond grass has a white looking discoloration showing on the surface. I do still see some green so may have to respray the area again. It is expensive so hope it works as advertised.

I buy it every year and use it cuz my pond can get very very weedy and I don't like that I want mine clear and I buy all the stuff I need for it love it

The material was well packaged with each jug in a heavy plastic bag. The cardboard box was torn and the tape was coming loose. But everything was protected and sealed and ready for use. The chemicals are the brand name and excellent.

I purchased this product to kill a pretty bad case of watermeal in my pond. Based on reviews I figured I wouldn't have an issue treating it. I mixed the Tsunami DQ a little "hotter" than the directions warranted with the additional aide of a surfactant. It had zero issues killing weeds and overgrowth on the banks around the pond (not in the water). I went ahead and ordered an additional herbicide to use in conjunction with tsunami DQ that is the generic of "Clipper". Hopefully that'll yield better results.
