Memory Card Slot Cleaning Kit For Microsd/Ms Micro

I borrowed a waterproof camera from my friend for my vacation in Hawaii last week. My other friend had previously used it in the Dominican Republic so this camera had been used in salt water at least a few times. During my 2nd time using it the camera stopped working, said it couldn't read the card. I thought it was a problem with the card. I got home tried to use the card from my phone (the camera uses a micro SD card) and it wouldn't recognize that card either. I noticed the card from the camera looked a little corroded so I assumed that a little salt water would get in each time it was used and not being cleaned out it was corroding the inside of the card slot.I did not want to return the camera to my friend in non-working condition so I desperately searched for a way to try and clean out the card slot. Since this card slot is for a micro SD it took a little while to come across this product (most are for the regular SD cards). But for not much money I figured it was worth a shot, even if the camera slot was too far gone. I got it today, tried it out AND IT WORKED!An item like this is a must-have product if you are using any sort of camera/video camera with a card slot that can be used in water - just in case you take it to salt water destinations.

not really cleaning, nor effective

I know this product got a 3 star review, pretty much 50/50 1 star vs 5 star. It either worked or didn't depending on device and other variables.. Happy to say it was the best 10 bucks (product + shipping) I've ever spent. My Lowrance Hook 5 unit stopped recognizing a card was inserted and was not able to read it. Meaning I can no longer do system updates or upload GPS coordinates. My only option was to purchase a new Lowrance unit at 350$. No happy with my options, I decided to give this a try. Happy it worked!

It is fair but it is just a fine emery board cut to fit. It got rid of some loading errors but not a majority of them.

After Mineral Oil got on my Micro SD card - I cleaned it off - But, I guess not enough... Even waited a few days before inserting it... The Micro SD slot worked fine for a day - Then wouldn't read the cards anymore.After a couple of months - it would kinda work - then stop again.... That was about 6months ago... Didn't know product like this existed... Saw it, bought it, tried it... and it worked. The Micro SD slot on my ASUS Memo Pad now works consistently again - Even Full-Length Multimedia files now read/play glitch free...

Bought this to clean the memory slot of my gopro due to dust contamination while drone filming. I inserted the cleaner into the memory card slot and went to remove it. It jammed and then suddenly came free... leaving the cleaning pad lodged within the gopro's memory card slot. Now I have to take apart my entire gopro just to remove this "badly glued on pad" that's lodged in the memory card slot.Stay far far away from this product.

It should have probably been obvious but don't trust expensive electronics to cheap products like this. There is a cleaning pad on the underside of the plastic piece. This cleaning pad snagged on something and broke off inside my GoPro within a minute of using this product. I was fortunate to have been able to get it out with a very thin knife. I actually found that folding a small piece of fine-grained sandpaper worked much better. This product was a waste of money.

The stick has a cleaning pad at the end of it, which is inserted into the microSD slot to clean the connectors. I put the stick in, pulled it out and realized the pad came off inside the micro SD slot. Now I can't get it out. I thought it would be a good idea to give my $500 GoPro Hero a light cleaning, instead I've turned it into a paperweight. Absolutely nothing I have tried will get the piece out and my camera is now unusable.
