RingShrinker: Ring Size Adjuster, Ring Size Reducer, Ring Guard with UV Flashlight

I had tried at least a dozen different ways to resize a signet ring, but nothing -- from plastic sleeves to clips to pieces of tape -- got the job done. But, this worked great. I followed the advice to start small, let everything cure, then add additional layers the same way, and I was able to build everything up over the course of a day. (In fact, I went a little overboard and had to file it down a bit!)Two months later, it's still holding tight, which meets my expectations. I don't shower or swim with the ring on, but I do wear it when washing dishes or doing yardwork, so I get it wet regularly with no problems.Also worth noting: No allergic reaction. I have super-sensitive skin that reacts to so many things, but this has not caused any irriration.

I ordered the Ring Shrinker with the resin, the remover, and the UV light. The product works just as described. The package comes with thorough instructions. I am sizing down a large and wide ring (7mm) meant for males, and I have slender fingers (female, ring size 5.5 to 6) so I had to use quite a bit of the resin. I built up over 12 layers. I did this as I was watching a movie so I wouldn't get bored. I tried on the ring every so often for size. The resin is a little sticky to the touch when it is first cured, but that goes away. I've worn the ring consistently with the resin on it for 6 days now, and it's held up great. I used another kind of ring sizer (the plastic spiral noodle) for a year and a half prior to this. That worked well, but with everyday wear, the plastic was discoloring, and it was annoying to take it off to clean it every so often. This resin is a much better and secure solution.I would also like to mention that when I received my package, the remover was not sealed properly and it leaked everywhere, melting the plastic on the resin and remover bottles, and making everything inside the package very sticky. I wrote to the company immediately and they sent me a replacement right away. I am really happy with their customer service! I definitely recommend this product and this company.

Great for hidden and precise customization of fit. Application is not difficult, and UV flashlight seems to be effective. One star down for somewhat poor adhesion to ring. Even with several coats and extended exposure to UV flashlight the resin still falls off under moderate pressure

I am extremely pleased with this product. My engagement ring is "sleeved" with two other bands making it wider than normal. Because of weight loss I pretty much had to stop wearing my ring for fear of it slipping right off and losing it. I had a quote to resize it, but because of the gold factor the cost was quite a bit and the fact that my knuckles have gotten larger with age, re-sizing wasn't a good option. I tried probably 3 different types of the "plastic" re-sizers, none of them working well because of the thickness of my band. This stuff works. It's unobtrusive, it's comfortable, it's very easy to apply and, if necessary, you can take off and reapply as your finger (or knuckle) changes. I've had no problems with it coming off and I've cleaned with solvents, washed dishes and I swim in chlorine 3 times a week. I followed the instructions to the letter. I think the trick might be to really go overboard with letting your ring dry, both after you clean it and when you apply the solution. I washed my ring thoroughly, let it dry for a day ~ I then applied the solution in thin layers, letting each layer dry for a whole day, besides using the flashlight, before applying the next layer. Took me about 4 days, but the results are perfect. I've already recommended this product to co-workers.

Product works as expected and the instructions are clear, the time estimates are all fairly accurate. Adding the gel cushion was fairly easy to do but it is difficult to keep the gel on the inside of the ring without it some of it spilling over the on the side. If there is spillover, the sides may become coarse as well when dried. I ultimately decided to remove the gel and potentially try re-applying the gel again, the removal process is to soak the portion of the gel in a remover solution for about 20 minutes and the gel does remove fairly well off the ring. I think the application should contain a thinner brush as well as a the gel removal should contain more removal fluid.

After reading reviews, I wanted to make sure the resin didn't fall off my ring, so I made sure to apply the resin not just to the inner part of the ring, but also around the outside on the bottom. That was in February and it's still secure through the end of August. The edge chipped away slightly and I was able to scrape some off the inside to make the ring slightly larger again, because fingers swell slightly in warmer months.I even used the tiniest little droplet on the prong of my ring that snags sweaters so that the resin is smooth. I would not recommend using this product on real gemstones (only CZ) because I have no idea if it would damage a stone. For this, it works really well and I have to reapply the tiny droplet about once every 6-8 weeks when I notice it fell off. If applied correctly, you can't see it at all.The resin remover is so slow that it seems at first like it's doing nothing. It takes a lot of patience to remove the resin, but that's fine with me. I'm just glad I don't have to reapply a band aid to the bottom of my ring every time the old one gets wet. That was my best ring size adjusting solution before this. The other cover things would slide around and annoy me.I have kept it inside the black bag, closed tightly and resin is still usable.
