No wires to tie you up
I got this with the hope of letting my wife listen to the tv through her headphones. Sadly, it didn’t go that way. It DOES let me listen to my PC with my Bluetooth headset. That’s pretty excellent. It also lets me pair my older bose speakers to my iPhone.Their multiple uses are really awesome. I’m. It sure which way they will wind up being left as full time, I don’t know. I do know it works great in both ways, so I might just get another to use with the speakers. They sound great in both applications. There is no noticeable lag, and the sound is full and rich as a cable. The only difference, no wires to tie you up

Instant bluetooth for my laptops!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Between my 15 year laptop & few years old chromebook, the sound quality from the speakers is ridiculously low. Annoying at best when trying to watch videos with any background noise. Can never hear either one & I don't have the space for a speaker system, nor do I want one. But I do have plenty of bluetooth speakers that I use with my smartphone.I somehow came across this bluetooth USB device & surprisingly works very well. Plugged it in to both computers & it was recognized instantly.Only thing I had to do was change the sound setting to select the USB transmitter & the volume was plenty more than I needed to finally hear videos & music. There were no programs or drivers to install as this bluetooth device was plug & play and ready to use. I should have bought one of these a lifetime ago.

No Device management in Windows, HIgh Latency when Transmitting, and Plug and Pray
I only tested this unit as a transmitter, not receiver. This unit works, but it doesn't allow Windows 10 to load a driver, and because of that, there is no way to control this unit when to stop, connect, and with which device to connect with. You plug it in, and it just connects with the first available device it finds--and there is nothing you can do about it except either remove the dongle or turn off the device. I have no idea what it would do if there were 20 people in a room with BT devices and you wanted to connect it to your own device? I guess you would have to ask everyone to shut their devices off so you could connect to your own first. Also, it has high latency. When I connected it with my Wireless Amp to listen to a movie through my laptop, the lips were off with the sound. Using my internal Bluetooth connection, lip sync was perfect--and my laptop is a 2013 model! If you don't mind latency when watching movies using this to transmit sound, and you don't mind having any control over what it connects with, there could be application for it. It does work, and it transmits just fine. There is just no controlling it in Windows--because it is driverless--and it has latency issues when watching movies.I tested this on both my Desktop and laptop, and got the same conclusion. I was going to use it for my Desktop, but the latency issues and no driver support for controlling the device in Windows killed it for me. Yes, very simple, but a dumb device in that you cannot control it.For instance, if you plugged in your USB wireless dongle and it just connected to the first wifi hotspot it found, it would probably be worthless. That's why all wifi dongles load Windows generic drivers, so you can actually control what you connect. Without any control of the unit, it's not Plug and Play, but truly Pug and Pray.

Good little bluetooth device..
This little device allows bluetooth Speakers on any device with a few tricks. First you will need an AC adapter to 5 volt to power this device. You TV requires an earphone jack. That's it. Plug your adapter into an AC. Plug this into the 5 volt power until the led is red. If it is blue remove from power and plug in again. It should now be red. Plug you earphone cable into the earphone jack on your T.V. Turn on wireless speaker and wait for it to connect to TV All done. Do not use usb jack on tv as It may or may not work that way. It makes your TVs and other devices Bluetooth enabled to stream audio to your Bluetooth headphones, or makes your home stereo Bluetooth enabled to receive the wireless music streaming from your phone and tablet. Works with device which have 3.5mm interface.

Works fine but not for a Roku tv
This bluetooth receiver was my last inexpensive hope to get two sets of headphones to work on my roku tv. It didn't work. Not because of the device, but the Roku tv is more stubborn about devices. In the process of trying to plug it in, it fell in the floor and the front and back casing fell apart. It is made cheaply and very light. It goes back together but still falls apart easily. I tested it on a stereo and the unit still works though, so I can't say it is a bad product. It does what it says, but it just isn't very durable, unfortunately.

Zero stars if it was possible for this crap
Don’t waste your time and money. It’s made of poor quality plastic that breaks apart just by inserting and removing from the USB device . And it didn’t even transmit any sound to my headphones even though it was paired and the audio cable was inserted to the audio out of my TV Tried on several other TV’s and got my technician friend to check - to no avail . Couldn’t get a refund as I had passed the return date . A cheap piece of crap . Avoid . There are better ones and it doesn’t even cost 14$ that this piece of crap had me pay for.

Can't use yet
My tv's cannot use this. My computer I don't need it on. So now I have something I can't use but I will keep it in case I get a tv I can use it on. Be sure and check to see if your tv can even use one of these if that is what you are buying it for, just in case.

Works really well
I only have it for a month with limited use but it works very well with about 50 ft range. Make sure you do not use the TV USB for power or you may get interference in the form of a background noise. I needed a longer cable and a usb power adapter to plug it into an external power strip. These are extra equipment I had to provide but I didn't mind since I had them lying around anyway.
